How to get more couchlock

He provided proof to support his claim, he says harvesting at mostly cloudy with more clear than amber will produce the strongest bud, his own proof says the exact opposite and says harvesting at mostly cloudy with more amber than clear will produce the strongest bud and that is what you should aim for, he then dismisses his own proof and now calls it an opinion and you lack the ability to see the irony in any of that? You cant dismiss the proof that you provide when it no longer suits your needs
Quote the post where I said that.

I think 10-15% amber is too much even if there was a way to accurately calculate percentage. Trichomes still develop long after the plant is chopped, meaning clear will turn to cloudy and cloudy will turn to amber. So that 10-15% amber inaccurate assumption will obviously rise some months after chop/cure. I still see you don't understand exactly what "quoting science" means.

How is saying amber trichomes are cannabinol which is degraded low potency thc and will not get you high misquoting science?

The 10-15% is someones opinion. It's not a fact and you must do it. Learn the difference guy.

I chop when I feel my plant is ready, I rarely look at trichomes because quite honestly. There are BILLIONS of them on ONE plant. Because I see 15 of them I can't accurately say "hmm, appears to be 15% so I should chop now!" that is fucking stupid.

Why is it so difficult to see what I'm saying? It's 100% factual what amber trichomes are, It's not 100% factual to chop at 10-15 or 88%. There is no accurate way to measure.
...mr2shim... I think you need to find a different source because after reading the hole thing I have more questions about the science they used to come to this conclusion. All you need to do is think about their lifecycle and you have your answer, no science required. Thrichs don't start cloudy or amber, no, these are stages of maturity. A clear thrich has not been de-carbed, this is what causes the thrichs to change color. Length of time exposed to air. Now answer this question about making oils or tinctures, what make the "high" in these meds? Decarbing is the reason for the "buzz" so essentially the more amber thrichs you have when harvested the more "couchlock" feeling you get...JAS

no joke, i read estrogen actually does increase yield and is unethical IMO. 1 birth control per diluted into a gallon of water

I read that eating a pound of blueberries and cat placenta makes you grow breasts.

from the book ----

a diluted solution of oestrogen administered to cannabis plants can produce amazing differences in growth and flowering. oestrogen is found in birth
control pills and is diluted at the rate of 1 pill to 4 litres of water . administer one treatment at the commencement of flowering and another treatment two weeks before harvest. whether or not it is ethical is for you to decide.

Do you have a link to the guys who is telling the story you believe to be true?
Jorge and Ed Rosenthal publish lots of stuff that people take as gospel and they do not back it up with anything.

Have you done it?

It appears that CBN increases the effect of delta9-THC on some aspects of physiological and psychological processes, but that these effects are small and cannot account for the greater potency which has been reported when plant material is used.
I think the problem lies with people confusing cannabinol with cannabidiol.

Drop your temps way low the last week. cut lights back some. and drop the humidity down.
You should drop your temps at least 15 degrees with lights off anyway through out the grow.
These things will help increase the resin content and potency.I wont get into a huge discussion over tric colors. To me its not factor enough to make a huge difference in the potency of the product. Dropping temps and humidity will. The plant will tell you when it is done so long as you are not over feeding it N though out the cycle

couch lock comes with the strains chemical profile...you cannot get more couch lock out of a strain..2shim is correct amber is degradation and the perfect time to harvest is when they are cloudy..a cloudy heavy Indica will still knock you down harder than an amber sativa..take the strain for what it is and enjoy it, Chop it when it should be chopped, and choose a full Indica next time

Thank you. It's like they think you can take a pure sativa, flower it until the trichs are all amber and you will have the effects of a pure indica, it's ignorance.

I also blame this....

The more you get cloudy and the less amber and clear is the way to go. Effect is down to strain in my book. Lots of people go for sativas these days but if your an experienced smoker you cant beat a good Indica couchlock.

Did you ever find the lab that tests for flushing?
Yes, you should make an effort.

The guys have publications and he still wants "proof" OMG is anyone else getting this!

Correct most traits are strain oriented but you can manipulate the outcome by when you harvest. If you would just think about de-carbing, this is what causes cloudy to amber thrichs, they are not formed that color they transform to the amber. Amber being the last stage before death. Without de-carbing you would not get high, or the feeling of being high....its that's simple, don't over think it...JAS

It gets decarbed upon vaporizing it..you only decarb products meant to be ingested
Any form of decarbing prior to smoking is unnecessary degredation. Cbn is not a direct product of thc breaking down and this has been shown time and time again..it increases from storage from a chemical/enzyme/metabolic reaction, its not clear which....this is why it(cbn) increase even in resin extracts stored in freezing conditions, not proportional to thc loss

Cbn is not cbd and as has been mentioned causes much of the confusion because it does alter the high..but its not cbd and it won't feel like a cbd rich bud
Cbn causes the burnout feeling after smoking all day, it causes a dirty high that some like and describe as dreamy rather than dysphoric foggy high that leaves you mentally confused, unable to do a basic math problem and contributes to the short term memory loss...

It does change the high, in ways some people prefer...imo only on indica doms...

If its not clear I agree with 2shim.....decarbing has nothing to do with anything being mentioned.....

Thca at room temp enclosed in the dark should be fully decarbed by 120 days or so...keep in mind it decreases exponentially based on its half life(of I believe 35 days under these conditions)....just fyi
