Even if you have the best healthcare program here.... paying up to thousands a month, if you have a heart attack, your're still going to have a $100,000 in co-pay. It's stupid. Prob why most poeple mowing thier lawn and get chest pains, they just lay down and let it happen.
I'm Aus, and average pay is far more than that. I work at a bakery as a cleaner 4 hours a night which at minimum wage, 5 days a week and that gets me over $650 before tax and can still stay on study benefits and receive a HCC and $250 a fortnight welfare support. Our average wage is around 85-100k atm. Average wage as of nov 2021 was $2025/week as a male and 1800 as a female for a full time worker.

I hate taking all that crap but without it my BP is 220/175 so I choke it down every day. Life is worth taking 27 pills a day I guess. I even have a hernia I've been putting off because I don't have the time to recover. I swear we're related somehow. Mine is an umbilical hernia and looks like a really big belly button. Been dealing with it for 3 years now, same as my rotator cuff surgery. One day I'll take a year off and just get all this crap done, just like rebuilding my car.
My hernia is an Inguenal.. right near my nuts. Im careful about lifting stuff, I don't wanna blow it out. I've had it about 11 years. I wear a "hernia belt' every day, otherwise, it starts to ache. Yeah, it's been years thankfully. The VA used to hand that shit out like tic tacs along with psych meds, great combo. Then they wondered why so many young vets were killing themselves. Weed saved me from pills for sure.
