Yeah.. me too... I have this phobia about them. I gotta do my own blood pressure at home and show my reading to the Dr. (he's cool with that), because when I do go for yearly bloodwork, it skyrockets in the office to like 160/90.... but at home, I get normal reading. I got a hernia that I really need to get fixed, but I can't be down during a grow cycle.... I guess I'll wait till it blows out into my nutsack before I get it fixed.
Last time I went they upped my blood pressure meds. It's always higher in the morning. Then I have some beers and it drops back to normal,

If we didn't drink at all our bodies wouldn't even need it most likely, but it probably would like it if I stopped eating red meat maybe, but that ain't happening.
Yeah... us either. We buy a steer once per year and eat good. We trade weed to a local farmer for a free steer, and sometimes split the processing costs amongst a coupe of family members. Most of the time, they will take on the full cost of processing, so we're not out any money for ~300 lbs of good local raised, and grass fed beef.

I've never seen beef this red... we get it vacuum packed in "serving" portions, and have a 20 cubic ft freezer full of beef. It just tastes different from "Walmart" meat. It tastes like beef. Super velvety, and tender.

We've been to high end steak places.. and they just don't compare to local free range steers. We went up the The Ranch in OKC for a treat... it sucked. $260 bucks with tip for 2 people. I can make a better steak at home.

Walmart meat sucks to begin with. But fresh butchered shit is way better. Some of my wife's family in SD have cows and prime pickings.

When I was younger we would split a cow or get a 1/4 for our deep freeze. It was full of seafood too from the Pacific Ocean most of the time.

I need another deep freezer.

Hell yeah!... we got that freeze full of local beef, 100 lbs of Halibut we caught up in Alaska. Some people think that eating clean means something else...I think if it's pure, it's good for you.

My steak is better than most restaurants too even though I'm getting my meat from Safeway. sous vide, then butter and Montreal Steak into a super hot cast iron makes damn good cheap steaks.

I don't even own a BBQ grill. My family has passed down a couple of cast iron skillets for generations. I only cook my steaks in the cast iron. My go to is one that belonged to my great, great grandmother. I dated it by the PA stampings on the bottom to a cast date between 1875-1879.. nothing sticks to it. I just hot water rinse it, and dry it off, then apply olive oil. If we are cooking something else in the oven, I just leave it in there.

Same here. I've got one from my grandmother still, plus others.

I've got the good ones upstairs so only I can get them out now. My family doesn't take care of them like I do, so they're not gonna fuck up my best ones.

Sucks when you're high though and forget the handles hot, :wall:

That's why you see so many people putting off going to the dr. because they don't have insurance. They suffer through whatever is ailing them till they go to the ER, or die. If you go to the ER (emergency room), they almost have to treat you, esp if they are slow and in the middle of the night. ObamaCare is (as far as I know) is still in place. This is a program that if you make less than $50K a year, you qualify for "some" healthcare, at almost no cost to you. It's not the best insurance, and if they see you are on ObamaCare, you go to the back of the line. It's a fucked up system. But we pay the premium to get good health care. Property taxes suck (and we own everything outright) . We pay taxes on money we make only to pay taxes on that money we spend,... again, a fucked up system. We pay taxes to the City ,County State, and the Feds... and that's just the tip of the iceberg. If you own something (like you property) you still have to pay (this is just us) $3000 USD a year just to keep the bastards from sending your property to auction. You never really "own" anything in the USA. They got you by the balls.
That's a fucked up system over there.seems you havt to pay for everything. Been to the intensive care unit a couple of times in my life . And didn't havt to pay a cent. Out system over here is no matter what you make or how poor you are you will get free health care even homeless people get free healthcare . From the day your born here your looked after by the health system.
