How long to break soil?

hey im new and about to start my first grow getting already germed seeds from a friend and i am going to be usin plastic cups and tuppaware for the pots(trying different sizes for each plant but of course just ones more wide and ones thiner and taller 4" max) but i am going to place the seeds in thwe marical gro organical soil i got off a friend and i just wantd the best way to plant them (pretty much a walk through) like how deep how much to water and how many times and how often, and stuff like that but i am also requiering how long does it take to break soil minium? and maxium? like when should i just throw away the grow all together if it doesnt work? 2 weeks i believe but anyone please help need advice for monday(its friday) also REP+ if not already said and it helps

plant your seeds about 1 inch deep. water them once a day until they break ground. make sure the soil is moist but not too wet. you need to keep them warm too, 75 degrees is about right.

they should break ground about 3-5 days after going in the soil. if they haven't broken ground in 10 - 14 days, they are probably duds.
