I have 2 cups with germinated seed under 4 26 watt 6500k cfl bulbs. I just need to how close should they bwe to the plants so that they are getting enough light but not getting burnt?

about 1-2 inches away, if you can put your hand under the lights and not get burned, then they will be fine at that distance. :)

No. Lights should not be that close to to germinated seeds or young seedings. 10 inches gradually working to 6. Later you can get down to 2 inches.

yep, as illegalsmile said-keep them further when they are young weak seedlings, like 4-6 inches away, and then keep them an inch away.

Ah, thanks for correcting me guys. My bad.
Some of my young sprouts seem to be doing great at about 2 inches however.
Maybe I'm lucky? :P Haha.

My little guys do great and I keep the lights about 1 to 2 inches away. I dont want them getting too tall so thats why I go closer, I also keep a fan blowing on the plants while the lights are on to keep the heat away from the plants.
