Hortilab Sour Power anyone ever grown it?

Hey guys,

I saw on a kosher kush thread on here a pic of a menu from an Amsterdam coffee shop where Sour Power was comanding the most money along with kosher kush. So I was thinking of growing it in my next grow. Can anyone give me their experience please. :lol:

Yeah, i smoked it at Voyagers in Amsterdam a few times this year & last, sativa dom with a nice grapefruity smell & taste, think its got diesel in the linage. Iv never grown it so i cant advise you on that but certainly going by the smoke quality i wouldn't rule out giving it a go.

You should not however think that because a certain strain is commanding the most cash in a coffeshop that it is even the best strain in that shop never mind the rest of Amsterdam, theres too many other variables involved, length of flowering time, yield etc, Some coffeeshops will also introduce a new strain get a bit of hype behind it then charge what they want because stoners on holiday will pay it.

I dont want to put you off because like i said i enjoyed smoking it but just be wary of equating the price in the dam to the quality. :peace:

anyone run hortilab period? they got a promo going and i grabbed a pack of starbud to get the free pack of sour amnesia. any one know if the sour cut they used is real deal? its all over there seed line? sour power looks like a beast too. if these guys are any good it would be awesome as they have some pretty narly crosses! :bigjoint:

I have both starbud and sour power. Pretty good feminized seed company just kind of expensive compared to others. Sour power can yield with either phenotype. The sourness is amazing from either phenotype but more so if your get the ECSD. Pretty easy to grow. Sorry do not have pictures it was on my old computer tower that I wiped.

Man Im glad you mentioned that I have never been to europe so I didnt know they coffee shops priced their stuff that way thanks. I ordered some Sour Power anyway so I could try it.

I know what you mean I always wonder if Im wasting my money buying expensive seeds vs lesser expensive seeds from reputable breeder. Nirvana seeds is one that comes to my mind, inexpensive and still very good. Thanks for the info on Sour Power. I ordered some last night.

attitude, and the sour amnesia are regular beans cali cat! could be a fun male.

10 pack of regs for free if you buy anything attitude has from hortilab. only thing in stock at the moment is starbud.

I had a pack of Sour Power in for a run, but I had to cut them down due to a major security risk back in May. I had to totally shut my garden down :sad:. So I didn't get to finish these to smoke unfortunately. But they were as Horti described and were gorgeous solid sativa goddesses :weed:. I kept a clone of my favorite so I will get to try this later on in the year, and can't wait either. Before I had to chop them they really impressed me with their health & vigor, 100% germ rate and all female with no worry of hermies. Hortilab are worth lookin at imo ;)

Thanks for the info. Those look great. You know what you are doing. Definitely did the right thing to cut them down. If I had a security doubt mine would get cut down too

I am running a starbud fem at the moment, around 2 1/2 - 3 weeks in flower now and the plant has turned into a beast. It was slow in veg, seriously took like 2 months to get to 24 inches but now it is 4 ft tall and 3 ft wide without any training. The plant is naturally bushy with a lot of bud sites too. I have it in a waterfarm and I seriously have to refill the thing every day. I am excited for its potential and have kept a clone.

Dude Im running sour power and a beast is understatement it grows so good and the plant looks so fucking awesome. 2 week of flowering. vegged for 7 weeks. started flowering when they were 34 inches tall. Now they have been flowering for 2 weeks and they are 46 inches tall. I don't know how good the end product will be but man it looks like its going to be promising.

I'm currently growing it. Got that promo for the tude. All 5 Sour Powers survived while none of the Sour Amnesia did. Disappointed with that for sure but it was a freebie. The Sour Power is turning out very good. Great smell, potency, and yield. A solid 8 weeks on one pheno and pry 9 on the other. The 8 weeker is super potent with a great sour Kush smell. Topped one time, responded well so next time will supercrop. Keeper in my garden for sure! Hope this helps.

This was my favorite plant out of the pack I originally started. I lost the whole lot though when I got shut down back in May over June, though I did manage to keep this clone alive in veg. And now finally, I will soon enough get to see how she smokes. I just thought I'd share these here.

Currently @ Day #74 (near harvest!!) - Strong, rotten sour candy aroma
