If the US had less guns, like Britain, would the US have a violent crime rate that is four times higher than it currently is? Violent crime rate in the US is not even in the top ten compared to Europe. Despite the current hysteria, mass shootings in the US are not any more frequent than they have been for decades, and the violent crime rate is comparable to the sixties.

No offense, but would you rather have a "Glasgow grin" or face the prospect of an armed citizenry?

I must admit , some of the comments made have made me stop and think
It would be hard and maybe wrong to have any kind of amnesty without full public cooperation
And that's not going to happen
I have seen innocent ppl suffer
It is needless and action should be taken
I was sure it was taking guns away but not so sure now
But the insults and un cultured ignorance of some is annoying

Insults and uncultured ignorance is what we do best here. I came for civil discussion, but I stayed for the insults! :-)

To address at least one of your points, "the constitution is old, and out of date, etc". That might be a legitimate point. I disagree, but I respect other's opinions on stuff. There is a legal way to change the constitution. There is no legal way to ignore or circumvent the constitution. If the gun banners successfully revoke the second amendment by amending the constitution then I will abide. Until then, they must abide.

need to ban fertilizer too. its what mcvay used to kill way more! the shootings, are an "excuse" to go after our rights. if their were no shootings, they would still love it if we lost our rights, and then were helpless to do anything about it. however, seems lots are willing to trade their rights, for free stuff. ug-ug! feed me! ug.
