Umm. They very first link you posted says such. The first bill allowing hemp was in 2014 under Obama.

Driving into work today, I heard a story on NPR where Facebook will not push links as hard if you don't read the whole thing before posting. Apparently most folks google, copy, and paste without actually reading it.

The link provided said the bill was 1000+ pages. I doubt anyone has read all of it. Even if they did they would need a lawyer to understand it.

You are cherry picking. Sure. I totally believe that some people got raided even while Obama was in office. He left it to the states. That ment that it was federally illegal. That meant the DEA could still bust people.

What Obama did was left it in sort of a limbo and signed an order that made it harder for cannabis growers to be prosecuted.

How do you not understand that even though Obama did a lot for cannabis it was still a controlled substance and people got busted.

It's possible to loosen the stance on cannabis and people still be arrested.

Fluff. You really think it was personally Obama that ordered those raids. If so that's silly.

Also that article was just a short ways into his presidency.

Last but not least. I don't care what state you are in. If the state says it legal and the feds say it's not and you grow enough for the feds to be involved then it's on you.

The article was written in 2012. At that time only 4 states in the country had medical dispensaries. There was no where near the number of dispensaries back then as there is now. In SoCal we had to drive an hour (no traffic) to the nearest dispensary. There were only 4 or 5 in orange county and a few in L.A. county. At that time a 100 was a lot. Those were just federal raids. They weren't just local ot state law raiding them. Yes, obama gave the order to Holder and he gave the order to the dea and atf. That's how that works...

Why is it that even with total control of legislative and executive branches of government, Republicans didn't legalize it? Republicans could have passed the bill. That's how that works.

By your logic then obama had nothing to.do with and is not responsible for.the cole memo written by James.Cole and published through the justice department.. Which is it?

Obama was anti cannabis during his first term. Then his 2nd term he switched. That might of had something to do with his cabinet during the 2nd term...2.of the cabinet members were former vp's at Monsanto. Monsanto and partners have bought up a lot of cannabis companies. . That is just my opinion on the cabinet pressure.
