Help with buying seeds in the US/Illinois

Hey everyone,
So I never bought seeds online and I'm looking to at the moment. Is there any seed bank that you guys recommend that ships from the US? I don't want to risk any trouble with foreign shipping and customs. If I could have a local one based in Illinois or anywhere I could shop in person here would be nice too. But I'm open to any seedbank in the US.

DC Seed Exchange has been fantastic in my experience. Delivery has been really good even during these times.

Yes, They are based in DC. If you're looking for a breeder recommendation I would say go with Hazeman.

I'm in Illinois as well and when i first went looking for seeds i went through seedsman, (which is overseas) the shipping just took a while but i got everything plus a bunch of freebies, but more recently i've bought from Area51 Seedbank, Neptune seedbank, and DC Seed exchange (all three US). All were to me within a weeks time and all 3 banks sent freebies. Mostly i hit DC and Neptune. I've been Eyeing Great lakes genetics as well, but you can only pay with money orders.

Can't buy seeds anywhere in the state. Supposedly they are writing up the laws on purchasing seeds and clones in state, but i haven't heard anything about it since before Covid

People in the Great Lakes Genetics thread have made reference to someplace in Michigan that has a brick-and-mortar storefront. Personally I just go with GLG (creature of habit), but people like DCSE as well.

Michigan has a store in Jackson, MI callled the seed cellar that you can physically drive to, they do curbside because of COVID before you could go inside. They have a website you can order from also. https://www.seedcellar.com/

I got a pack of Hazeman's Madness (Pre 98 Bubba Kush X 88G13HP) and two packs of 88G13HP strains. Hazeman is just a solid breeder.
