I am sorry, I wasnt trolling I was confused. When I saw 30% more efficient I thought this meant 30% electrically more efficient.
I have done some more reading and now I understand where the confusion is, Hybridway is so much more advanced than everyone else that he doesnt rely on electrically efficiency testing, he has his own efficiency testing called gardening efficiency.
@hybridway2 you are a genius to be able to do your own testing and new method called gardening efficiency.
I have not seen anyone else be able to do this and once again just goes to show that you are the authority when it comes to led lighting knowledge
Back under the bridge with you.

I disagree that he indicated it as unimportant. He pointed out that IR and UV work synergistically. My money is that a ratio of IR and UV to white light that most closely mimics the sun will be found to work best on plants. Who woulda thought?
Assumptions are easy.
Everyone knows that natural is always best, right? That's why weed always grows best outdoors, soil always beats hydro and everyone knows 400 ppm CO2 can't be beat. ;-)

If humans didn't look at nature and think "hmm, I think we can do better than that", we'd be living in caves right now, foraging for our food on the daily. In fact, what could be more "natural" for a human but to tinker with nature? Seems to come "naturally" to us...

We can and pull and push this plant all over the place and it will still deliver amazing bud. 400ppm CO2 is not natural, as it is human driven well beyond pre-industry levels of I think 280ppm. Seedless Cannabis is anything but natural.

I grow in small containers of ROLS because it’s fascinating to me as well as producing what I need. Others grow with synthetic nutes which is fine with me. Some of the best weed I know of came from hydro.

Geeze, what did i do to deserve all this?

Nice to see someone paying attention.
Once again, Thank You!

I think some weed grows better indoors.
Hydro can beat soil.
800 ppm CO2 beats 400 ppm CO2.

HLG is thee ONLY light you listed worth two shits. Kind, and Blackdog are both POS lights that still use old slug based double chip diodes. The technology is over 20yrs old. Phytomax has at least stopped using those super old diodes and upped to a bit better of a spectrum but it's such a rip off for that price wow.
That RSpec though, is a beast and I can assure you you'll be a happy camper if you use it.
I heard that Black Dog leds were good stuff. Beyond-solar luminosities. I do know that they are not cheap. What can you tell me about their weaknesses?

Well yeah. But they have Professor Bruce Bugbee’s endorsement, and he seems to be for real. If there is an issue surrounding durability or warranty or failure to grow asskick plants ... color me curious and concerned.
Bugbee endorses blackdog? Really?

So how sure are we on his knowledge of LED tech? He's obviously the master at LIGHT and the properties and physics of it, but does he really know his Shit about LEDs? Does he know what the difference between 2835 &5630 form factors are? Which came first in LM561 and 301?

I mean he sphere tested them back in the day, could be just repeating the same...... Does he actually say that he endorses them?

Historically they where hot boxes running the diodes hard, maybe they pulled a 180 with the company and chasing efficiency? IDK

From Canns post, I can't think of any other outcome, cause I know for a fact they used some hella bullshit slugs for years.

He used a Black Dog light in a vid. This wasn’t an explicit endorsement. But I read it as saying the light was for real.
Maybe he was just using it to measure it's output to get some data and numbers for the video and not really claiming it's anything very high quality? Or was that the premise of the video?

Specs are specs, and Black Dog isn't forthcoming with them, so buyer beware. Also the claims on their very poorly put-together website are ridiculous. A 21"x21" fixture can flower a 6.5'x6.5' space? Get the fuck out of here.

I might be out of place here
400ppm co2?
Here a vid @1:30 tell our plants world wide are starving(I belive it ,just me trying to share)

You obviously don't know shit from shinola. Not an endorsement at all. You'd be better off with a Mars, which I saw you slumming for. You didn't even know who Bugbee was two weeks ago until I schooled you. Your degree in organic chemistry, that you said you'd throw up against Bruce any day isn't telling you squat about lights. I think its pretty funny.
