Specs are specs, and Black Dog isn't forthcoming with them, so buyer beware. Also the claims on their very poorly put-together website are ridiculous. A 21"x21" fixture can flower a 6.5'x6.5' space? Get the fuck out of here.
Should we go by True Wattage or LED wattage?
LED watts? ROTFLMAO.

True Wattage1050w
LED Wattage2,100w

You obviously don't know shit from shinola. Not an endorsement at all. You'd be better off with a Mars, which I saw you slumming for. You didn't even know who Bugbee was two weeks ago until I schooled you. Your degree in organic chemistry, that you said you'd throw up against Bruce any day isn't telling you squat about lights. I think its pretty funny.
Can we please not bring up organic chemistry? Still gives me fucking nightmares.......Thanks

Check out hygrow_light_solutions on eBay. $515 for the 301h chips. So he buys from China and assembles in USA and all proceeds go to fighting his wife’s cancer. Not alibaba prices but not HLG prices either. They are greedy. These are fully assembled just plug it in and hang it up520F414D-EF53-4BFC-BA9D-EC738FD41F78.png

Are you willing to screw a few screws, drill a few holes and connect a few wires?
If you are, just buy 10 gen2 EB bridgelux 2'(560mm)strips, a12-15' of 3/4" angle aluminum and a 600w HLG-600H-** driver and run them all in parallel. This will cost less than $400.
Is there a huge difference between gen 2 and gen 3?
I'm upgrading to a 4x4 and have had great results with f strips but I'm on a budget.

Just a bit more output. I'm not sure how much but ita probably like 5-7% more efficiency.
Gen2s would be what I'd get.

Especially if you're on a budget, homie. Gen2 is like 50% less money than the Gen3s.
I'm trying to light a 4x4 on a budget I'm definitely getting some gen 2's
