HELP! Did i already mess up at germination ? smh

Long story short I have these seed from a strain I crossed this will be my 3rd year growing these beans. They have always had 100 percent germination rate but this time they germinated so far so fast that in only 4 days they all had leaflets and 4 inch roots.

My question is did I mess them up by not planting into soil sooner? I will post pics. I should kept a better eye on em but didn't think they would have grown this fast

Ji did plant them so I guess I'll find out in time but really wanted some people with more experiences opinions. I regardless am guna germinate another 6 seeds to cover my back even tho they are getting a late start. Luckily it is a fast growing a rugged strain.

They should be okay, but next time you should just plant direct to media. Pre-germing has no benefits, but a lot of negatives. Here is a good germ guide https://www.mandalaseeds.com/Guides/Germination-Guide

Any of them without cotyledons probably won't survive, that's the nutrients they are born with to get them to vegetative state, about 10-14 days after sprout. The seeds seem very vigorous, so you might have a chance with a couple of them, but yeah, I would definitely go ahead and start some more.

If they are this quick growing, you don't really need to do paper towel method, just soak till they sink then plant directly in starter medium(soil, rooters, Rockwood, whatever).
Especially if you have your own seed stock

This is the exact reason i'm against all this fluff when it comes to germination. Just drop the seed into moist medium and sprinkle some more on top of it. KISS.

Awsome thank you guys for the quick replies. I have put 3 years of crossing genetics before I got these seed / genetics how I wanted. Very hardy seeds everyone I have ever given to and the last 3 years since I rented this strain I have had 100 percent germination rate. I will deff try just letting them sit in water till they sink and then just putting them into soil. I will keep everyone updated on how these first ones end up doing. I'm very proud of this strain and am so mad at myself for getting a late start AGAIN to the season not allowing or being able to see this strains true potential. I have a friend who grew some indoors and it looked amazing. Thanks for the advice guys

its always a good feeling when u get a keeper. They'll probably be fine. I crossed BCN critical with Loas highland and they are also resilient and fast germers. I dropped a seed into my medium bin and lost it. it ended up about a foot down in the medium, sprouted and ended up growing out its first set of true leaves while fully covered in half a foot of medium. It had a foot and a half of tap and a bunch of feeder roots. The leaves were almost white, but shaped well, believe it or not. I was stunned. That plant ended up being transplanted into the garden and being a monster. Within one day under diffuse sunlight the leaves were green and good to go. They only test between 10-13% THC due to the landrace heritage, but god damn can they grow.

I put three in medium yesterday morning and they've already popped tails and pushed the seed head out the medium. Not bad for 36hrs.
