Ive been pressed before and just put the butter in a cup of hot tea... Not too bad... Flavor it with your favorite tea.
LOL - I just finished a cup of buddered coffee :)

That was a quick reply - edited:
I actually think it's better with instant coffee unless you make coffee really strong. Equal parts coffee, sugar and milk with the budder. The milk helps it froth up so it's not just a green oil slick on top :)

Looking very happy! How much water and peroxide are you flushing?
I used the same amount as I do for watering. It's not so much a 'flush' as it is a soak. I used a little more on the 4 late-flower plants because they actually needed some flushing.

And it's 1:4 peroxide to water. It's way easier to measure in ml ;) I did 2500ml on each 2 gallon pot (between 1/2 & 3/4 gallon) just because it was easier to get the ratio right for the amount of water I needed.

Remember when I said I was done with monster clones because they take too long...
Before
IMG_9640.JPG After
IMG_9669.JPG
And because of the stretch on this supposed "indica" (I think I got a random seed) they were just too perfect.
Well, I lied...

So I wasn't really cloning, cloning... cuz 'member when I said I wasn't cloning? So what had happened was I was kind of pruning... ;)
IMG_9670.JPG
Quick run-down I have the rooting pods soaking in water and Fox Farms Rhize Up (good root bugs).
IMG_9672.JPG Air is bad, so here's how I cut. the blue lines are just score marks, very light with the blade. Then I re-trim the two nodes with the blade, then the 45 degree cut and straight to the clone-x
IMG_9673.JPG
The only real time critical part is from the 45 cut to the gel, but knowing what you are going to do it takes about 5 seconds. I do all the leaf trimming above that before messing with the stem.
After the gel, into the other root hormones then shake off the excess
IMG_9674.JPG
And 7 little Indians all in a dome. 18/6 from now until flip. The rooting timeline is like regular clones, but the time in the solo-cup takes a bit waiting for re-veg.
Note for later - 5 of the 7 were inside shoots off the bottom-most node remaining on each main limb. The two others were also inside but a little higher. If the 2 shorties grow better, I'll know next time I "don't clone"
IMG_9675.JPG
I use little containers for the root stuff because I toss out the leftovers.

I am still keeping my seed schedule. BUT like I said, I really think I'll like this strain a lot. When I harvest the NL I'm dropping a seed, or two depending on how the clones do.

Another thing I thought about was that the stretch I am getting out of her will make managing the plethora of shoots when they finally pop a lot easier than my previous attempts.

So my tentative plan now is - to hell with a flower and a veg room. Each room can identify as whatever it wants ;)

It's going to take a month before I know if any of these will even do anything. In that time I will have harvested 4 plants and free up some room. The NL might be done before they are ready for the big lights. I also have the hardware I need to re-do the bigger room so everything can set on the floor. It'll just be easier to do that when I only have to relocate two plants instead of six.

Melt the butter and blend into a milkshake...

Ooooh, another note for the plan. When I did the little quick-flip flower-clone on the skunk, It did better than expected. It might be easier to do several small ones like a SOG instead of culling down to one or two. Still pruning each one up to something I can train like a small manifold like I did the monster.

I try to stay away from the sweets but that sounds good. I was a fat ass when I was living in VA prescribed opioid jello. Weed is good for you in more ways than one :)
Shit try it in a smoothie... If your making them from scratch you can monitor the sugars... I was hooked on pills for ten years... Been clean for close to 4 years.. Now thats an addiction..

I splurged on one of those Nova decarb machines with tax money last year. GET ONE if at all possible.

I decarb my small buds and stuff and just eat it ;) Every time you mess with it you lose goodies, whether it is infusing oil or butter, grinding it, whatever.
Sometimes I put it on food, but I actually like the taste of the decarbed weed. I thought about doing canna-caps but that was just spending money and time to measure something out and eat it. I just pull it off the stem and weigh it, then eat it.

That's a mess and hard to dose with decarbed keif though since it's about 3 times as strong and sticky - so I make budder with that.

I ordered some plain (high grade) stainless steel 'food' containers to see how they work out. No Boveda pack holder obviously, but I would just be tossing a pack in anyway if I went to the mason jars. I'll let you know how they work out. might be a waste.

The only negatives in the reviews were about replacing the silicone seal after washing it - which I rarely do anyway, I'm storing flowers not spaghetti sauce. One person mentioned that the clamps weren't that sturdy, and I can probably agree with that just looking at the style compared to the c-vault clamps. But these don't get the wear and tear a lunch pail would, so I'll let you know how it works out. If it does, then getting huge ones would be astronomically cheaper than the c-vault commercial size.
Keeping my word. Here's the containers
IMG_9684.JPGCompared to C-Vault.
First thing I noticed was that they had upgraded latches from what was pictured when I bought them.
That's a good thing - this time. Don't know what I'll get if I order again.
They are lighter weight than the c-vault, but still "kitchen sturdy".
They have a brushed finish instead of shiny. Don't know if that matters.
The smallest of the three is exactly the same size as the large Cvault.
All 3 were the price of one large Cvault.

Only thing I see is if there is a long-term issue with the metal and the weed, but that is unlikely.

I think the container's will be fine. another 2 weeks before I can taste. The middle is the 2 largest that I left whole. Left is the other tops, right is the nugs from those tops. The nugs are still ping-pong ball size, and without the extra stems it is just over 90g.IMG_9685.JPG

The Dyna-gro plant (closest to cam) I have been watching for harvest just got passed. The Gen Hydro (front left) plant has browned a lot since the peroxide flush. The next morning the white pistils were all curled like a perm.
IMG_9687.JPG
Something interesting I noticed on all the pots. The soil level has raised about a half inch and is well aerated. The top isn't packed anymore. When I first hit it with the h2o2 there was a lot of bubbling and foaming. I think it actually "unpacked" the soil. Might keep this in the toolbag for other purposes. Maybe use this with a regular sledgehammer flush and do both at the same time regularly.

enjoyed reading up on your journal and look forward to more. Have to agree w you on how fragile the Skywalker is, not flexible at all. Got a few SWalkers crossed w Wht. Widow atm even after watering w silica I've broken tops etc. Btw the NL is robust ay? looking good. I've 3 strains, one w 3 phenos, 7 plants total in flower in various styles under a 1k led and would love one. dang. plant. so feeling you on that.

Thanks! I do this mainly for me - keeps me sane. The Sky crawler is a mess. Finally stretched enough I could open it up a little, but this will be a plant just to get a taste of the strain..

The Bruce Banner is a champ too
IMG_9698.JPG
But if this is in fact Northern Lights (supposed to be mostly indica, but stretched like a sativa…) she is the winner. The main reason I took the clones was realizing that this beautiful plant may not be what I ordered, and I might not get it again if I ordered more NL seeds.

I just realized (thinking about the clones) that I have been worried about growing seeds before they go bad - my skunk are a year old - and I realized that I get replacements if they don't pop... Duh.

Seems the Dyna-gro plant is putting out a few more pistils now, but it seems she waited too late. More amber than I thought.
IMG_9707.JPG
I thought the Gen Hydro was closer, but her trichomes are still mostly clear.

But I'm still watching both close. The GH looks like it's gonna hit all at once. You can see the darkness starting at the bottoms of the trichs.

Since it is best to chop right at lights on, I guess I will just need to be ready to make the call and go to work each evening. I'm glad I won't have to clean 4 plants at once.

Gave the NL a light feeding last night - I think she liked it.
IMG_9720.JPG
I checked on the website for the NL plant description and the ILGM version is supposed to be 90/10 indica dominant. But it also says the plants grow "average" height, and actually mentions 28 inches tall...

Right on the money ;)
