Just for everyones information, in Australia you are not allowed to defend PROPERTY. You are allowed to defend yourself or family but only with a weapon equal to or lesser than that of the "attacker".

I know this is a stupid rule but thats how it is here. A friend of mine was convicted of manslauter because he killed a guy with a knife, that had entered his home but the other guy didnt have anything...

Thats fucked up IMO. A friend of mine got attacked by some douchebag, the attacker had no weapon. My friend stabbed the guy several times, the guy died a few times on the way to the hospital but he was totally fine long term.

Anyways, my friend goes to court, and my friends lawyer tells the judge "If I had a gun I would have killed the guy" All the charges were dropped in about 5 minutes. This is in Canada BTW.

Did your friend have a criminal record?

And I dont know all the states, but theres more than just Cali and Texas that allow you to defend your property.

He had no criminal record and he was a well known and respected real estate agent, there was uproar in the community and it didnt change a thing. He got like 6 years.

Yeah, that is ridiculous. What was the guy suppose to do? Sit there and call the cops? I would be scared and nervous if someone I didnt know just broke into my house, I would do what it takes to get him the fuck out.

I agree completely. Thing is this guy had been stalking his wife too and that had been reported to the cops. He got out after about 4 years with good behaviour but it pretty much ruined his life.

No question about it so would I.. I woludnt wait for him to harm me or one of my family.Thats a given.. But the subject we were discussing was the LAW.. I would definately go to jail in a split second to defend my family.. No doubt about it. In a heartbeat. I would give my life for my family so going to jail wouldnt even be a issue.

I dont feel like reading up on every states law. I dont remember off the top of my head, its been a while. But Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Arizona, just to name a few, some of the laws may have changed in recent years, but like I said I dont feel like reading up on US state laws, its a bit of a boring subject. :-P

I'd LOVE to move to CAN.. well, either CAN or CA.. somewhere where I dont have to be scared to grow a damn plant ( MJ ) that helps my chronic anxiety and symptoms from kidney disease .

It's funny you say that. Just recently the missus and I looked into moving to Canada, any advice?

West coast, British Columbia. Its Absolutely beautiful. If you ever get a chance to take a trip to Vancouver, BC you should. You can experience almost everything in BC. Its like a 4 hour drive to the desert, 3-4 hour drive to the top of Whistler, your right on the Ocean, you head to Vancouver Island up to Tofino and they have some amazing surf spots.

BC also has some of the best rec dive sites, ski/snowboarding mountains. Great hunting too.

Hahaha, I know I live in BC so of course Im gonna love it, but Iv been back East, its just not the same. Central Canada, Toronto/Quebec is like Canada's asshole. A lot of stuck up people who are obsessed with their health. Haha, they're not all bad, its a nice area, just not as much to experience IMO. Then theres Eastern Canada...We dont really talk about them much, hahaha. Unless you like fishing and drinking theres not much there.

IMO its definitely something you should look into. Canada is a great place to live.

Man I would move if I was you. Why worry about getting busted when you could be growing Legally. Even if your not growing you can have access to high quality medical grade product legally any time. Be careful though, its legal in Cal state law, but Fed law still says its illegal, so the FBI could bust you, lol.

Its not that cold, unless your used to California weather or something. I live like 2 miles north of the Washington State border, its not that cold, and it gets hot in the summers.

:peace:
Califonia, exactly what I was thinking no winter warm year round.
