Purist ideologies only function with pure people. Once people turn to shit, restrictions are put in place, freedom is reduced, and purist ideologies are no more. Every law represents a reduction of freedom and our failure of decency.

i've tried to tell him that so fucking many times i just gave up. people are purely incapable of behaving themselves, most adults turn into irresponsible children at the slightest temptation or provocation, and he expects people to just cooperate with each other in this utopian fantasy land he inhabits...

Right, it's something you'd understand if it came from more of a campfire chat like, "you know why my utopia would be....", but instead it's pushed like it's something that can really happen.

What cracks me up with retarded gun lovers like yourself is the fact you think that if your government did want to disarm you by using guns that you and a few pissy little hand guns or shot guns or automatic guns that you own would stand a chance against trained police or the army.

If people are incapable of behaving themselves, why would you vote for a person to be your super daddy? Isn't consolidating all that power in the hands of a person going to enable an irresponsilbe person(s) to control you ?

Name the person capable of running your life better than you.

Guns are carried by police yes but they rarely "use" them. By use I mean firing them.

I am in no way saying police should not be armed. I am saying ordinary citizens with self proclaimed high intelligence levels like your self should not be.
That's just my opinion and at the end of the day it don't mean much but it's quite obvious to the rest of the first world the availability of guns to ordinary citizens in the US is a disaster.

So do you propose police use guns to make sure you are disarmed ?

An 18th century style revolutionary war would not be possible today.
