But the modern South is a place Bull Connor wouldn't recognize. In 1965, only 6.7 percent of Mississippi's black adults were registered to vote. In 2004, the African-American registration rate was 76.1 percent -- vs. 72.3 percent for whites. Other Southern states have made huge gains, too.

i don't quite follow.
i've called out bignbushy many times over for his racism, which is not at all subtle. he has stated that blacks are from "an inferior lot" and are "genetically inferior".
he doesn't even think he's trolling, he thinks he's still in law school trying to convince an all white jury of his idiotic opinions.
i called out el tib right away, too. desert dude even put a like on my comment, but for some reason he never did the same when i called out people like bignbushy, shotgun420, neitzschekeen, et al.
i used to call out harrekin, too. but then he PM'ed me, as did el tib, to let me know that they were just trolling when they made comments about spear chucking or the extinction of the white race.

i got hassled today for my ID and was refused service.
apparently, my passport card was not sufficient identification for the white clerk at the 7-11.
so i took my money and ID to the liquor and grocery across the street, where the black clerk checked my ID, and sold me my 12 pack of pabst.
my beer was actually a dollar cheaper over there.
