That longer veg period is what allows the plant to mature. I would assume from your posts you typically get preflowers on your plants before you switch them. Thus the plant is showing its reached that maturity level, and it has a very short transition. I had a plant I was cloneing for 4 years, from one original seed. It would show flowers almost like clockwork in 4 days after I put them under 12/12 light. Typically though if I stick a new strain in specifically to sex the plant, it takes closer to 12-14 days just because the genetics are young still.T-cat, one of the reasons I like longer veg periods is that I've found that it cuts down on the transition period. On that WW, I was seeing signs of flowering 4-5 days after they went into the flowering closet. I snapped a branch this morning, so that is hanging and will be my sample cut. I am thinking 7-10 more days for her...
ive been doing research on cookies myself and theres a lot fakes out there. I think mine looks very similar to BC Bud Depot gsc. Thanks drifter! Yea it's hard to say what is legit and what isn't. I checked out your grow, your girls are looking good. I like how you tied that one Tahoe cut down and grew her out laterally. I'm actually going to be doing the same thing once I get my small veg box setup. On the fence about whether to actually use it as a veg box or simply do a small autoflower grow under the T5 just for shits and giggles. I've got a couple auto white widow crosses that sound pretty tasty. I'm not the biggest fan of autoflowers but they are fun to grow. You mentioned you got yours in clone form? I got my seeds from Cali Connection. I'm actually kinda disappointed because after doing lots of research into the subject, it turns out that Cali Connection's GSCs are not the legit GSCs as the creators of GSCs do not release seeds or clones. Furthermore, the seed bank I got my beans from states the genetics of Cali Connection's "GSC" strain to be "Thin Mint Pheno Pure GSC Seeds," so I'm not really sure what to think of that. If Cali Connection's "GSC" is indeed a rip-off then what are the true genetics of the strain I'm growing?? When I was doing my ordering I saw this strain and thought to myself, wow, GSCs thin mint pheno, I'll take some of that, I guess I should have done more research first. Moral of the story, it looks like we might have all fallen victim to craze and confusion that is GSCs. Now all this being said, Cali Connection does have some great gear so regardless of whether what I've got growing right now is a rip-off or simply closely liked genetics to the real GSCs, they're growing like champs and by the look of things, should turn out to be pretty epic bud, regardless of lineage.
