There are 2 forms of the bill in committee in the Senate and 3 in the house...they have to merge into one...it will be a while.
I would not know, it is priced out of my reality....I know that people around here aften go to Mexico because it is cheaper...this is real, but what you here is about all these Canadian's and Europeans that are dying while waiting in huge lines...this is just not true! Plus waiting for shitty care beats no care at all. This is class warfare. They gave bad loans to the poor to buy McMansions so they have invaded the middle class neighborhoods...with the extended family in tow. Healthcare has always been seen as a major benefit, one that people would accept lower pay to have...if everyone has this...then these folks no longer have one up on their brother.

Sorry but right now I am on socialist medicine and I hate it. Can't wait to get on my feet and be able to afford private care. It should be the peoples choice not the governments.

Yup and I can't wait. Medical sucks! Healthy families for my kids is great. However that is subsudised medicine which I think is perfect.

I hate it and can't wait to be able to afford private care again.

Ok, well I absolutely agree with this statement. I fall between the lines on medical and healthy families. I loved the later and I refuse to deal with the former. Medical is in the business of canceling you, that is it. I used to forge check stubs to show that I was paid weekly instead of bi-weekly to make enough to qualify for healthy families for my daughter. I do not make enough and I am referred to medical who insists that I apply for unemployment (at the time I had 2 jobs!)
Medical is made to fit the AFDC/medical/Food Stamps trio...if you are not fully in the system there are issues. None-the-less...It beats the bill for a premature induced birth and 16 days of neonatal intensive care...call me Komrade, thank you Kalifornia!

The subsidized that you are speaking of is likely what will be available. Healthy Families is not a private plan it is "socialized" It is the state of California attempting to insure the children who fall through the cracks, but the budget is so limited that it fails in this attempt. The reason is 1. The amount paid per child is too low, and 2. They exclude people willing to pay the premium and more.
Somewhere in between Healthy Families and Kaiser is, I believe, what is being attempted.

I have read it and it is just making sure that everyone gets insurance. You can still have any private coverage you want, they just won't be able to deny you coverage if you get sick.
And it is using money that is already in the system now. Just because people don't get checkups to find things early and get preventitive care in things like dental work due to high out of pocket costs, does not mean that they don't end up spending the same amount for the country in the end.

If you are on it, why not get off of it? Or are you not an American? Either way the fact that you have to get on your feet to get it, means that you are in a place where you really need it. So you want to build up your social standing to get off of it and then get rid of the socialized medicine so that the other people that need it until they improve their lives can't have the same helping hand that you yourself took benefit from?

If you cannot afford it you ca enroll in the government grant programs that will help you pay for it, otherwise you buy some insurance regardless of what company or government plan you chose to have.
Again this is EXACTLY what this bill is doing. You pick your insurance company, the government is just not going to allow them to screw over the people (as much) anymore. If you can afford it they are saying you need to get it because you will need it eventually and they don't want to pick up the bill for those mistakes that can happen.

it obvious you guys have no idea what the health care reform is all about..... The USA, really has too do something about their health care system... it does not make sense that people die every day because they cant afford too go too the hospital.. look at Scandinavia and see how their health care system is. pretty much as good as it gets. If you get sick or hurt there all you got too do is go to the hospital and they will take care off you. and you wont be spending more then 50 bucks there. while you would be paying hundreds of dollars every month for insurance in america and then it does not cover everything, and the problem u need help with just happens too be a pre existing condition and your not covered. its time for you guys and america too wake up.
