Flowering with Cree bulbs

Too much ww at this stage, and maybe any stage, unless you need/want stretch

Turn a few off and see how long it take for leafs to begin reaching up toward them

You may need to trim half the leaf on the lower leafs

Crab legs are now in and the CFL is out. In total I have 7 2700k and 6 5000k. I should probably do a grow journal, but this is my first grow. I just watered them when I took the pic so they're not as spritely as they should.

That's where I'm a bit confused and hopefully you can help. Both plants are autos and I wasn't sure if it matters or not whether I had too much of ww or cw so as long as I had a mix. Is that correct since they're autos?

My post was based on looking at the droopy condition of your leafs, so no, it does not matter. You may only need to unscrew 1 or 2 to see the leafs react. If not, then more

He said he had just fed em, not a soil dude... but I think we've all seen it

I would lose 3 of those 27's Blue, till you get through the first 2-3 weeks of 12/12, then by week 7 might have em all back in..

just an idea, WW is a tricky bitch to play with. I think '51 did a hell of a job picking that xt-e (3700k)

went back to the original and just added one splitter with two WWs. All leafs have really perked up so I'll just add WWs slowly. I also put the 6500k 65W CFL back in as well.

Glad to see we have some one else who might be able to confirm the captians results, now we just have to hope the autos dont mess up the yield, what are those blue, the Xtes or the XBs? Also does anyone else know of any other grows using these crees?

And no heat's not the issue. Its 65° in the cab. All the branches feel nice and sturdy but the new leaves just don't look that good. Soil pH is at 6.8, 2L of H2O roughly every 4 days wit no nutes yet. It is FF Ocean soil mixed w/ perlite & all perlite at the bottom for improved drainage.

Maybe too much light, too close?

65* is something that should have your attention. your +/- 15* away from where your want to be. LEDs dont have the radiant heat like HID lighting give off- usually excess heat that we have to evacuate, but the heat plays a role in Photosynthesis by Transpiration. I know cool temps are something that people dont tend to worry about, especially comparing to it's Omega.

78* degrees seems to be the place to be. no higher than 82*

Maybe not too much light, but too much light for right now. Get them to bounce back and perk on yah. Then think about loading those ladies.

Are you in 12/12?

^ way way way too much water.......how much volume is your medium? I am watering 1.25 gallons of soil with 20oz [600mL's] every 3-4 day and even that might be a little too much..

I've been testing the philips 2700k with the remote phosphor removed, so it's royal blue, the plants seem to love it. Mixed just 4 of blues with 6 of the 2700k phosphors on. Staying nice and short and growing like mad. Soon I'll put the phosphors back on and make them all 2700k again.

Hey bondoman, I just looked at Home Depot and the 4 pack of 3000k 10.5w Phillips are only $24!
The Par38 Phillips Spots 19.5w's are $40 for a 2 pack.

I think I am going to buy 8x of the Phillips 3000k this weekend, going into Cab#2 with 4 cree 2700k [but I might change these]

Already have a single Phillips with the Cree SW 2700k's gotta saying everything to this point is Fawkin outstanding!

How you doing them- a spotlight in the middle with some of the smaller crees hanging down?

Well......right now I have 4 of the 2700 SW Cree's and a 26w 5000k CFL vegging a Cab in a DIY hood. The phillips have been sold out Online and I am not really interested in the spots anymore, just because they are almost 10" and that's not going to work for me.

Thinking about getting the 1 4way mount like Capt here and mount all my cree's, then surround them with 8 of the Phillips bulbs [store bought probably].

That will give me about 120w's in a 27x19 area. [Doing the math of what captain was averaging [watt/ sq. ft] this is slightly higher....per CF it almost double the wattage per Cubic foot, because my roof is only 31".]

Fingers crossed but I am going to HomeDepot now to hopefully scoop up the Phillips 10.5watters.
