So, attic report. It appears there is some 1/4" plywood I will have to drill through as well. I am not worried about that. When I move out I will just fix the ceiling and they will never know. I am pretty spot on with drywall and paintings and such.

I really like the idea after seeing the attic. It has high walls and great ventilation. It's cooler than in the apt.

The only thing that worries me: it seems you can move from one person's attic to another. Seems it would be easy for ANYONE in my building to come drop in and pay me a visit...

Edit: No, not renting just to grow. It's a complicated story. I actually grow medically, thus legal EXCEPT from the feds, which keeps my paranoid ass up nights. But I have so little, I shouldn't worry.

Yeah it's a condo. Well, I have to keep the plants a certain #, ya know...

I don't really need to use a whole room for the amount of plants I can do.

It's more of a....domestic issue

So, I have posted some pics of the 4 remaining Barb girls...

I had a little accident and it cost two of the other girls their lives....My light fell and crushed the shit out of their stems. I know, I know. I thought 2-1/2" eyehooks per light would do it....

Anyway, give me some feedback as to how you think these babies look for 32 days of flower under (for the most part) 500 watts HPS.

I have reduced the amount per watering from 1/2 gallon per plant to 40 ounces per plant. I think this will help them out, as they were getting stressed from too much water at once. To the pics...

This is my favorite barb pheno. Very short internodes as compared to her quite leggy sisters. I can't blame the strain though, as I have given them high temps/low humidity throughout the flower stretch. Anyway, she looks very nice with wild white hairs.

My second favorite pheno. Very bushy interior growth. I think this one will be the biggest producer.

Also, very nice. Similar in structure and development to #2. However, out of all four, the main cola on this plant is the most developed so far.

The least vigorous plant still alive. It has just now opened up and really started flowering. It's about 10 days behind its sisters.

A pic of some hash I made using the Gumby method. I used about 25 grams of primo, close-nug trimmings. I also used about 60 grams of fan leaves/stems. I got just over a gram of hash. Not too impressive, but I made a lot of mistakes and next time expect a greater amount.

The upside: what I did get is amazing! Two bong snappers with some of this hash on it and I am in another dimension. Seriously, I have never been this high except twice, once from keif and once from honey hash. It's that good. Plus, after the initial $30 investment (if you own a nice cordless drill, more $$ otherwise), you only need to buy ice and that's all it costs! (other than your time).

Well give me some feed back. I would love comments on how you think the nugs are coming along!

If you want, vent out where you would vent out a dryer so then all the heat goes outside and it prevents FLIR cameras spotting you.

Yeah, it is just you do not want the eyes in the sky using FLIR, if you are unsure what FLIR is. It is pretty much cameras that detect heat used in grow rooms, they can not see in your house they can just see the heat. That is why you should vent out your heat like you would with a dryer because it pretty much gets rid of all the head rather than cooling it.

Forward Looking Infrared Radar. Yeah, I have a basic understanding.

Yeah I want to get it out the attic. From what I have researched on FLIR though, 1000 watts would not be enough to alert them to anything...do you have alternate information?

I'm unsure about 1000W, I read that FLIR is VERY SENSITIVE. I watched a training video on how FLIR works and it is so sensitive that when a person puts there hand on a flat object and keeps it there for 5 seconds and removes there hands, the object gets more heat from the persons hand and FLIR picked it up.

i wonder what percentage of pd's actually have access to the flir, have to be pretty pricey still, no??? i'm hoping mine does not as I haven't had the money to get the ir shield as of yet, do they have to have a warrant to use flir???

As far as FLIR, thats a local issue from my research, unless the FEDs have some reason to think something big is up.

Most local governments are letting people out of jail and firing teachers cause they dont have the money...so i am cautiously optimistic on the topic

thats kinda what i figured on the flir... i'm just curious what the actual percentage is, no real way to tell i don't imagine... but i think the ir shield would be a worthwhile investment for sure... i was looking into it and it looks like about $150 should cover my little op, i think the peace of mind alone would be worth that...

No prob. Consider this: I have a space heater that pulls 11 amps and runs about 1700 watts...These are all over the place.

How would they distinguish this from and HPS? I don't think they can.

Its all about large scale ops, from what I have read.

Yeah and I'm sure they only use FLIR on homes they think might be growing in, it is to much work just to scan a certain part of your area.

FLIR only works in Canada, but in the US, they need a search warrant, and if they're in search warrant mode, your getaway chances are getting smaller.

Cops also need a search warrant to enter your home but you think that stops them?

I hate people who say how the police must have a search warrant to bust into your house or do whatever.

Are they supposed to....yes but do they? Nope.

Also with FLIR there back up can be, We were not looking for any specific house we were just checking out the area when we received an anonymous tip.

WTF you mean it only works in Canada? The DEA uses it ALL the time.

I picked up a 12,000 BTU VERTCIAL A/C for my room.

The other day, it was up to 85F outside....94f in my room! I hooked up the A/C and within 4 hours I was down to 75F!!!!

I can now completely control my temps!

I am starting to have an odor issue...I am thinking about either making or buying a grow tent so I can effectively control my environment. I feel like it's the only way to go from here...Gypsy, watching?

Right now I have an ONA jar that I have sitting open outside the grow room. I am starting to be able to catch whiffs of it downstairs though. Very unnerving.

I am installing an 8" 424 CFM fan to exhaust the entire room this weekend. I am going to put it in the bathroom in the place of the old shitty fan. I need more adequate exhaust! Some of my fans leaves looks almost mutant, they are SO finger-like.

Edit: The buds on #'s 1-3 are starting to really swell!!
