first seedlings, could use some input!

This is my first grow attempt ever and am just looking for some input.

Im running a basic 2 tube wc flourecent hood over a heated matt with a domed lid containing KC jones, Widdowberry, and sweet island skunk (just seeds that I have had saved). I also have some KC jones in seed starting soil. keeping the humidity around 60 and the temp at 78. Have a fan blowing on them at all times and am running the light 24 hours a day.

Today I just started feeding all of the plants that I saw with "true leaves" the two nutrients i used were superthrive, and rapid start rooting enhancer. Pictures show the seedlings that I have begun to feed.

From the looks of the seedlings, when do you think they will be in their vegatative state? I plant on putting them in a simple "bubbleponics" system. It seems like the cheapest way for me to utilize my closet space. I have never built one before but what I plan on is a pump with two aquarium stones in one of these reserviors, and putting the nutrient water just high enough to soak the roots of the plants.

Im also thinking about ordering some seeds from attitude seed bank. Any input on a good indoor strain for begginers at a decent price?

Seedlings look strong, but are quite stretched. Looks like you dont have enough light, or your light source isn't close enough. When a good root system begins to develop (start of the veg stage) you can hit them with a dose of nutrients (less is more). Keep ppm at a safe level, there is a chart from an earlier post you can reference for different stages of plant growth; PH should be around 5.7 to 6.0. Make sure water temperature is 68 to 70 degrees for maximum oxygen saturation in solution, which will facilitate ideal nutrient uptake, (cooler water holds more oxygen than warmer water). You should be good to go. What kind of light are you using for flowering cycle?

What Redneck said. They look good but stretchy which can become a serious problem if their stems fold over and pinch. If it were me, I would put another 1" - 1.5" of soil in those cups to bury the stems and slowly bring the light as close as I can. With flouros I would expect to be no more than 2" away from the bulb.

Be patient with the nutes. If you underfeed them, they will start to yellow on the lower leaves and you have time to correct that before its a real problem. If you over feed them and burn the roots, it can take quite a while, if ever, for them to recover.

i will give it a look? not new to forum use but this was my first post. I am planning on getting a 400 or 600 to veg under. in the mean time, how far away from the plants should i have my two flourescents?

Seedlings definitely seeking light, maybe lower lights. If using fluoro or cfl's they can be within 2"... You may want to repot soon and plant deeper...
