First Official cfl grow

Hi homer371! My current cabinet is less than 2ft high on the inside. My container is an 8in pot, and it's fairly tall, and takes up quite a bit of that height. So I would love to get something taller, so I could grow a bigger plant. Thanks for the rep, appreciate it! Any idea on whether or not I should be having the seed in the dark still, or should I put on some lights?

not sure on that, i still haven't started one from seed yet. but i'd imagine that some light would help now... maybe a regular incandescent grow bulb (one of those blue ones) which will also add some heat which is good. and you should keep the soil moist but not too wet, or so i've read.

Good answer homer! Especially from someone who doesn't mess with seed that much if at all.

Allforit ya need a Mama, seedlings in my experience are so much more sensitive than a baby clone.

I think a Mama is a good idea. Matter of fact, I have an idea on how to do it. I can buy that tent I want, use it to veg/flower, and use my small cabinet for a mama.
HEY!! SMOKE REPORT!!! hehe. haha. Good. Very Good. Great! It's very harsh, I didn't get to really flush her at all, just 1 maybe 2 waterings. Not near enough. The small bud I smoked, it was very harsh, and didn't really have a good flavor at all. The smoke smelled like bud though. So that's good. The HIGH???? Supper dupper! I took a tiny bit, the size of my pinky nail. And wow. I'm still stoned, and that was over an hour ago. Not stoned like, I can't do anything, sit on the couch, but high as a kite, floating, able to think, yet relaxed and mellow, yet a bit of adrenaline rush as well. Wow. My whole body is relaxed, completely. Yet my mind is racing in a pretty good way, not much anxiety at all. The only anxiety is coming from the fact that I think I am smoking nutrients and vinegar. lol. Sounds silly I know, but that's anxiety for ya. Oh my gosh! My bud is going to kill me or poison me because I didn't flush her long enough!!!! That's the fear/anxiety. That's why I took such a tiny hit. Yet that tiny hit, got me so high. This is some awesome bud. One hitter, no doubt. And I mean that. One hit is all I took, that tiny little hit. I didn't even smoke the whole piece LOL. I didn't! Just a tiny hit lol. And I am HIGH HIGH HIGH!!!! Wow. Never had homemade weed before LOL. Wow. What a difference!!! Damn!! When the rest of Estella is cured, watch out!! Woo Hoo!! Gonna be some tight shit!!! The danky dank.
I can't wait now for my next harvest LOL. I learned so much from you all, and trial and error, and from this grow, that my next one is gonna be even awesomer!!! I won't get lockout, I will make sure to nute her correctly during veg. And she will flourish! I'm betting, oh, at least 1 maybe 1 1/2 OZ from my next grow, not to mention the trim for joints or cannabutter, etc. If I get the tent I want, 3 OZ. Easily.
Ok. I'm really high lol. Totally. Wow. This is the stuff that will make you want to make something or cook a great meal or make love all night on it lol. Yet you will be relaxed the whole time. Just moving and chilling. Yet you could easily watch a good movie as well. It just makes your mind to get engaged. Body as well, if possible. For shore.

P.S. I am really tired tonight, didn't get any sleep last night. Been struggling with insomnia and anxiety attacks for over a week, 9 days now. So I am a bit over the top already. Last week, in 7 days, I got less than 25 hrs of sleep. Coupled with anxiety attacks. It was more like 18 hrs, but who's counting? lol.
This is the kind of bud that makes you want to be EXACT. I bet you could easily build something on this stuff. And enjoy doing it a lot. Wow.
Hahaha. Wow. This is some good cannabis lol. Wow. I know I won't be able to grow this exact strain again, but damn, I wish I could. This is perfect. No real anxiety, except what I create, and high energy and lots o' relax feelings. Damn.
I will give another smoke report once I have the rest of Estella cured. Right now, she has some kinda wierdish smell. Not mold. Just not dried and cured. Last night I trimmed off more stem, got rid of most of it. I was thinking I had dried her too much during the dry period. But I didn't. I could have let her dry another day or 2 at least. I dried her for about 3 days I think. Not long enough. Too much water in the stems still. Heck, I chopped her 1 day after watering, as she was killing herself. So ya. Lesson learned!! Another one! Sweet! I love knowledge and learning. 2 of my best friends lol.

homer371, yes, i'm hoping the flavor will improve over curing time. I still think I put them in the jars too soon, but I see no mold or smell nothing nasty, so I just left the jars open a bit longer today. Doesn't smell like weed yet lol.
My seed has yet to pop the soil. I did put the lights back on today, 18/6. Figured like you said, it will keep it warm, and give it more of a normal environment. I bet the seed will pop faster than the last one, which took like 5 or 7 days I think. can't remember, it was so long ago lol. I check on it all the time lol. I am keeping the soil moist, not wet, but good and damp. Can't wait for it to pop ground!!
I should not be awake right now, but i am. I went to sleep early tonight, was pretty darn wiped out, but woke up a bit ago and couldn't get back to sleep, so decided to mess around on the net lol. I'm hoping no work today, thanks to the storm. Will see.

HippySmoke, maybe she will catch up to your clones lol That would be cool. I realized today that I don't want to start keeping a mama until I find the strain I want. Then I will want a mama. Right now, with the bagseeds that I have, it's trial and error. What I want is to find the right strain for me, buy some beans, and then keep a mama of that. Will take a bit, since I can't just go to a care center and try out a few lol. Oh well.
I will have another smoke report from my harvest soon. I checked on it today, while burping it, and the buds are actually beginning to smell sweet. And I mean they smell like something sweet lol. It's trippy. But better than the smell it had before today lol. I let them burp extra long yesterday and today, as the stems had too much moisture and it wasn't curing correctly. Seems to be doing better tonight.

True having the right mother is extremely important... thats why I have 5. Although I give plants to medical patients and each strain is designed for perticular issues so variety is necessary.

Another thing is you will gain a tolerance to any perticular strain not just cannabis altogether. If possible eventually try to grow 2 or 3 kinds of cannabis but along the same type of high that way you can mix it up a bit. Unless you are using it medicinally then just find another cannabis with the desired traits.

I wish I could be a care giver very badly. Sadly, I'm not even close to being in a correct State for it, yet. I would like to either have a dispensary or work for one, either one is fine by me. All I need is a job paying 9 bucks an hr, I would be fine. I will eventually get my ass back to the West Coast. I firmly believe down to my toes that cannabis is awesome for medicine, as I know it is for me. I wish to grow more than 1 plant, but am afraid to. 5 plants get me a complete and utter felony here, less than 5 I might be ok. So I do one. No scale, no guns, nothing to add to any charges. Paranoid? Kinda. But also just trying to do what I want, while minimizing the consequences should I get caught "breaking their law". Asshole politicians. Especially Obama. "Oh I inhaled. Frequently. That was the point." Yet he won't legalize it, even though he KNOWS it didn't hurt him at all, shit, motherfucker got to be President! Tell me cannabis ruins lives. Uh huh. Ok, rant is over lol. I'm just pissed because I am stuck in the middle of country. lol. And sick again. Still got the insomnia too. So yeah, been rough.
I didn't know, HippySmoke, that you could develop tolerance to a strain as well. Thanks for the heads up! I do use it medicinally, for chronic pain and anxiety/depression. That's why I need the right strain Most of it works fine for the pain, but the anxiety, that takes a special one. Cause it's different for everybody. So I gotta find the right one for me, so I can be in heaven on earth for the first time in 6 years (Yes, I also use it for re-creation. I say it that way, because cannabis always help me be more creative, and I love that).
