up in Alaska, Got a greenhouse grow going, Initially planned to breed some seeds to have backups as well as having some that flower sensimilla, temps are dropping pretty quick (it's getting to low 50s high 40s at night), and rain is nearly daily. Plants are maybe 1-2 weeks into flower and are longer autos, (was initially told 60-75 days is usual harvest for this variety but that dont feel right) thinking 80-90 days ish, currently on day 67, should I let them keep going or was this season a bust? I am able to bring 2 plants inside for breeding purposes, but I've got 6 and they're all pretty big, 3-4 ft tall maybe 1.5ft wide (didnt do any training until later because I wanted to see how they grow naturally) Newer to Growing, this would be my first successful harvest, but my 4th attempt growing. Any input is welcome. :bigjoint:

i say keep going and learn the process, the more you learn the less you fail in the future. learn what works for your conditions, you might need to dig down in the ground if possible for extra heat, you may need heat mats, you might need nothing extra because you have a great idea.

They are tough, I have had them hit 40's before. As long as the rain doesn't give em bud rot. In the mornings try to shake the dew off and you should good. Is the weather looking like it will bounce back?

can you putsome space heater in there?
Unfortunately not, I thought about it but I don't have one at the moment and don't have spare cash to get one.

They are entirely covered from rain so budrot from raining on them shouldnt be an issue, the weather should get a little warmer over the next few days but its been getting colder and colder, expecting it to continue from here.
Is the temp change temporary or are you that far North were it won't rise again ? They can ride out a few days of low temperatures . Continuous rain is another thing altogether .
Northern Interior I'd say, temps are dropping a little more each day, thinking I have maybe a month until frost starts to cover the grass. The greenhouse isn't entirely closed off from the outdoors but direct rain won't be an issue. Higher humidity during flower being my main worry because it's been 80-90% humidity every time it rains, dropping down to 65-70% after a bit. It stays humid until the sun comes out for a day, but with the weather its been pretty consistently 70% or more for a few days now and Botrytis has killed my crops in the past so I am on the lookout for that.

I've noticed the plants that look to be males having issues developing sacks, not a single plant is developing the classic cluster of sacks, not one even producing just a single sack out on a limb, they seem to be behind the females despite all being started the same day. I'll post images of the suspected males tomorrow morning.

I did top them again a week or so ago, unfortunately right before noticing they had started to show calyx development, I now know this would slow down flowering but would it also cause males to lag behind females? aren't males supposed to be the first to mature and show sex?

I'll take a look at how to make one, too short on funds to spend anything really. I've got the basics like an indoor tent/drying area (2x2x4), decent set of trimming snips, wide tupperware tray for trim jail, and some larger cutters for taking down the whole plant, but aside from that its pretty barebones as far as setup and setup cost.
