hey get rid of aluminum foil and spray paint it white or get mylar because aluminum foil also reflects heat and itll burn the plant as ive read correct me if im wrong

i have heard that also, i'm kinda on a small budget for this hobby and my temp is always around 75-80. However i deff want to upgrade to mylar soon tho.
about possible cal-mag problem, my medium has the following in it:
Just Right Xtra (made from general hydroponics products)
-Cocotek coconut coir
-Maidenwell Diatomite silica stone
-Ancient forest humus
-large perlite
-Rare earth
-Premium earthworm castings
-subculture M
-subculture B
-natural sulfate of potash
-bone char
what it says about the potash (right from the bag):
"natural mineral contains potash, sulfur, calcium and magnesium"
can that rule out the cal-mag problem?

I'm visually impaired and can't comment on the FIM from your pix, however, at this point they look healthy and happy so whatever you did at this point you have good plants
In about 2 weeks you'll be able to sex them. What will you do for odor control? The dankness will become very strong. Also I can't remember what size containers you have. Were they 2g? Read up on root bound symptoms.

2 gal container do you think that will cause rootbound problems? ive read that transplanting more then once can be bad?
im suprised the plant looks as good as it does cuz i started in a horrible medium with an unknown bagseed from subpar weed lol!
for odor control i was thinking a DIY computer fan approach or possibly the gel? Smell is not a HUGE issue i live in an apartment building were 5/6 apartments smoke and the hall way always reeks but obv i need a lil for when my mother comes over (she does not condone my smoking!)
and ya if this grow works out im investing in better lighting (at least a 150w hps) and ventilation (still unknown but ill rig sumthing up im DIY savy
)heres a closer look at the FIM (about 1 week later) i count 3 tops

3 tops is good. Also take a look at 250w bulbs...there is also a 250 watt club thread that is very helpful....plus the extra juice is good for your plants even in that size area. That will mean more investment.
Buying for the future is good, too. I have no idea of your budget, but if you can get one of these it would be great:

the 250w is simply just to much money for me right now (at least at my local hydro store)
would the 150w be good for my size grow area (2.5x2.5x4)

That's if want to go lightly on your budget. The total with the Lumatek ballast would be about $121+ freight.......You'd be getting a top notch ballast.You wouldn't need a reflector in that size area and personally I don't like ballasts built into the reflector, although T-5's are built that way.

Looking real good Dubsy she really blew up quick didn't she. I've already noticed a slight smell to mine as well even though it hasn't show sex hopefully that's a good sign lol

ya man i think its the liquid karma or the grow nutes she just took off when i started feeding her that stuff. Adding a couple more lights and switching to 2700k. Feeding her half bloom and have grow today when i turn the lights back on.

i got a 3 pack of organic at my local hydro store for like 17 bucks. cant beat that!
