First Grow: Northern Lights X Big Bud, and White Widow

very nice crop bro, i have a plant growing atm, it just sprouted and looking to forward to seeing it grow up :blsmoke:

:joint: BlunTez :joint:

Day 59 (Day 22 Flowering): I was checking out the plants and happened to get some resin on my fingers, and they smell great! Things seem to be happy in the garden so far. I just ordered a bunch of flowering nute addatives including Floralicious Plus, Kool Bloom, and Humbold't County's Own Bushmaster.

The clones are looking great too. They have been in the hydro system now 6 days and I will probably flower them tomorrow. Should be interesting to see the difference in the nugs I get from the DWC, and the ones I get from the drip stake system. The clones will also be grown under CFLs only.

I was reading an article in high times about this guy doing DWC for the first time. He got 9 oz. from a plant vegged for 4 and a half weeks.

I might just switch to DWC next grow.

Clones - Day 7: They are ready to flower now, but I want to wait until the new nutrients arrive tomorrow. Any longer and they will outgrow the cabinet in no time at this rate. Hopefully the Bushmaster will do its job.

The clones with the wilted leaves have been like that since they went in, but are now showing nice growth on top.

Day 61 (Day 24 Flowering): I only had time to give them a quick watering and snap these photos on my lunch break. The new nutes haven't arrived yet, but should be here later today.

I was reading an article in high times about this guy doing DWC for the first time. He got 9 oz. from a plant vegged for 4 and a half weeks.

I might just switch to DWC next grow.

The DWC is really nice, and its so easy to maintain. Im a little curious to see how it all works out, especially when the roots are really long, and I have to change the reservoir. I guess I can just prop the top with the netpots up on some kinda box, or another plastic tub or something, and let the roots hang down in it, while I clean the res.

i'm deffinatly watching thisthread... keep the pix coming i love seeing the buds forming not many people on here take pix as frequent as you !!

Day 62 (Day 25 Flowering): I added the new nutes to the nutrient solution last night and fed them with it this morning. Maybe its just me, but they seem to have swelled up a lot since then, and are starting to look like some full buds now.

I also started the clones on the flowering cycle tonight. I am going to foliar feed the clones with some of the Bushmaster to see how it goes.

Clones - Day 10 (Day 1 Flowering): I accidentally left the pump unplugged last night after I added the timer for the lights. It made the back right clone look sad this morning, but its doing fine this evening.

I sprayed them with a mix of water and Humboldt County's Own Bushmaster. I need to get a better sprayer I think. The Bushmaster will be used foliar a few times a week for the next 2 weeks.

I also noticed some brown, possibly root rot, on the roots in the hydroflora. I may add some H2O2.

Very nice first grow, did you ever diagnose what was causing the yellowing, browning or what was eating your leaves? I went through your hole journal either it wasn't mentioned or I missed it along the way.

I'm having a similar problem, I'm getting yellow spots on some leaves and I see those gnat thingies that were mentioned earlier in this journal but I'm hearing that they wouldn't cause damage such as that, so I'm thinking maybe I'm over watering, the yellowing seems to be subsiding but I'm still lost on when to water exactly.

I can't wait to see what you have to harvest in the end., keep up the good work!

Simply amazing Drizzle. I'm learning a lot from nongreenthumb and he showed me this gallery. Amazing growth, i made the mistake of going with a SH crap, so trying to correct all the problems associated with it. Great journal.

Thanks man. NGT has helped me make this grow the success that it has been so far. Stick with him, he knows his stuff.

I'm wishing I hadn't spent any money on premade systems as well. The air pump they sent with the DWC system failed yesterday after only a week of use. The whole res. is too small to really be feasible for all 14 sites to be used. I'm much happier with the drip stake system I made myself on the cheap.

As for Humboldt's question about the yellowing, and pests. The pests haven't bothered me recently, since I recently sprayed them with FoxFarms Don't Bug Me. I think I was over watering too, which caused the yellowing. At that point in time, I was hand watering by simply dunking them in the solution. Things seem to be much better on the drip stake system. I do notice the occasional discolored leaf, as i'm still learning so much. Hopefully I will get to a point where I can keep them all green as can be.

Your success is down to yourself and the work you have put in and your plants look amazing for it, I only gave you some ideas.

Thanks Drizzle, I'm thinking I'm over watering as well, I let up on the watering and they seem to be a lot better, haven't seen anymore noticeable splotches.

AND YOUR PLANTS ARE LOOKING DELICIOUS!! KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK.

Day 68 (Day 31 Flowering): They are really starting to bulk up. The canopy of the garden looks really frosty and full of big buds.
