Hmm, maybe that's one of the problems? I've read that humidity should be at 60-70 percent for veg and 40-60 percent for bloom.
I would for sure agree there... boost that RH (relative humidity) BRO!! They're too dry!!

IMO, I'd also say there's too much perlite mixed in... I use 10-25%....

Ok so my 400w MH is up and running! HTG Supply is wonderful I recommend them for buying any growing supplies.

Anyhoot my temp went up quite a bit to 89, but thats okay. I'll have pics ready tomorrow.

The maximum growth rate is achieved when the temperature ranges from 70-74 degrees during the lit period, with a drop of about 10 degrees (but no lower than the high 50's) during the dark period. When the temp rises, photosynthesis proceeds at a stable rate, but the metabolism rate increases, using up much of the sugar produced during photosynthesis.

Because the perlite i was using had time release nutes and was killing my plants I had to transplant asap.

I dont know how to lower the temp, its just one 400w MH with a fan in a giant closet on a tile floor, I dont kn ow why its gets so hot I better leave the door open.

I hope they are coming through, I wanna see some pictures with them doing better!

89 is also way too high of a temp to be at. You really got to get it back to the 70s. I You may need some more fans or some way to get air vented in or out to cool it down.

I can suggest placing your ballast outside the closet. when I did so, the temp lowered about 5 degrees...

Knowing that heat rises. you can put one fan at the top of your grow area blowing out and one at about ground level...this'll move your air, and lower your temp...

CORRECTION THIS IS NOT WEEK TWO BUT DAY 12 - Sorry

Well, I hate to say it, but Venus died. She shrivled up into nothing and cracked at the stem. Sad. But good news! Neptune is growing her second set of leaves. My new setup is great I bought another tower fan for the room and brought the temp down to 82 (from 89!) I moved the ballast to the top shelf and now I leave the door a little cracked.

Neptune was bone dry so I gave her a little water.

Also today I planted some more germinated bag seed. Well see how they do.

Unfortunatly I cannot find my camera! So I cannot take pics, but as soon as I find it, they will be up.

Actually I disagree, I just got the new light yesterday, so Venus was grown this entire time in 77 degree temp, she died before she could even get the 82-89 temp.

Yea man, that was waaay to hot for them. 90-91 is like the threshold before they go kupoot, so 89 was pushing it. Sounds like you need better ventilation also.

Good luck man...
