Ok So It has officially been one week since I planted the germinated seed we know as Venus. She seems to be doing okay, she looks a tad droopy on her big leaves, I didnt water her today, and I wont water her again till tomorrow night, so well see whats up.

Neptune is coming along nicely, I gave her a spray or two of water, I may start very minimal nutes here in a couple days for them both.

Let me know if the slight droop of Venus's leaves are normal plz. :)

First pic is side shot of Both
Second is top of both
Third pic is of Venus

Venus is looks to me like its in bad condition. It looks a lot like my first attempt at growing went, stunted growth, and yellowing and browning of leaves. What kind of soil are you using? Is there any NPK in it? I hope all is well but when my plant looked like yours it was in bad shape :?(

I hope yours is not and it grow fine, but just being cautious for you.

Yeah the perlite was miracle grow and has a lil nutes in it, btw the overhead pic was witht he flash on so it looks a lil yellon on the leaves where in fact there is no yellow on it, I was worried about the drooping.

Well Venus is looking terrible! I assume too much watering so I am no longer watering her until she perks back up.

I added two more cfls giving me a total of 6400 lumens.

Neptune is growing pretty well.

No watering today.

There is your problem, you have nutes in your soil!!!! I had like .06 .09 .06 NPK in my original soil and my plants all started out good for the first week and then started to look like yours curling/drooping, yellowing, and then dying leaves. Seedlings can not get any nutes this early and I assume yours are released from the water so you watering it released them and its killing Venus becuae it cant handle them this young.

I may be wrong, but it just looks like such a similar case to mine :(

Does this mean all hope is lost for both?

I would get some soil without any nutes in it and transplant them. BUT I could be wrong, its just my educated guess.

How do I go about transplanting them at this young age?

Oh btw I went out and bought Perlite and Peat mOss with no nutes.

Well I transplanted both Venus and Neptune into a new grow medium (Perlite and peat moss) since the other medium I was using had time release nutes and was killing them. No pics today, well see how they do.:-|

Wait, did u add soil too? I dont think you can just have perlite and peat moss, you might need more, but i coudl be wrong :)

No water today.

Well it looks like were going to lose Venus, she looks nearly dead.

Neptune looks fine but she may end up dead as well since the perlite had nutes.

Sad sad sad... :(

Well Venus still looks the same, bad. Neptune seems to be fine for now, I didn't water them today, just another day of growth. I should get my 400w MH in today.

Been following your grow, good luck and I hope they don't die.

Did you use CFL's on those girls as soon as they germinated? Or did you leave them buried in the soil in a dark place? Can't seem to find a straight answer on that. I thought they needed to be in the dark for maximum results.

Thanks for following my journal!

Once they germinated I put them under a cfl for 24 hours then switched to a 20/4 light cycle.

Right on, I think it will work either way you do it. Anyways, I got my setup going. I'll ad pics as soon as I find my damn charger!

It's nothing special, I got one 2' grow light with 2 t8's suspended over the plant. And 3 100 watt equivalent soft white/warm white CFL's. One is suspended above the plant and another on the side. I'm running at 78 degrees and 53/54 percent humidity. What are your temps leveling out at?

Hmm, maybe that's one of the problems? I've read that humidity should be at 60-70 percent for veg and 40-60 percent for bloom.
