As far as the seedling growth im just using the top shelf of the closet, but I havent set up the floor yet, once the sprout comes I will post the setup. I plan to use a 150w hps from the top and two 23w cfls for bottom light throughout the grow.

We will see what it will yield, hopefully my only hogs breath seed will be female, that bud was delicious. (Which is where I found the single seed from the whole sack.)

Well still no sprout from the hogs breath but two bagseeds in a shotglass germinated!! (out of the nine so far)

Im giving these about 8 more hours before planting.

I believe the other seed will sprout by tomorrow morning.

Just curious, was that shot glass in the dark when your trying to germ them? and where did you germ them?

I always just use the paper towel method, never let me down :) Hopefully yours show that taproot soon

Actually it was a shot glass with bottled water right next to the grow lamp (Not under it, just next to it), they showed taproot less than 24 hours!

Also im switched the light cycle to 20/4 instead of 24/0

Ok now we have three planted seeds:

My Temp reads 77 degrees, and still some seeds germinating ina shot glass.

Oh I changed it to 20/4 to test out my new timer, I figured im just going to keep it at that so they get a lil' darkness.

Oh let me know if anybody sees any problems with this setup for sprouting. Im changing the lights once they sprout to a 150w hs.

Ok so today I woke up to find that my hogs breath seeed has sprouted!

Sweeet name, venus. Like the story behind it too, was that on the spot thinking or what you planned the whole time?

Also with those seeds ur germing that paper towel looks soaked, i woudl ring it out a bit just so its moist. Id also put it in a plastic ziploc bag and put it somehwere dark and warm. I put it on my computer case and they almost always germ within 24 hours sometimes thye need anohter 12-24 but thats usually for stragglers, haha.

But yeah, everything is looking great still. Time to go check on my babies and see if they made any new growth

Well Venus is growing taller and taller each day. I gave her a spray of distilled water and made sure the light was two inches above her.

Unfortunatly the other seeds have yet to sprout! Oh Well i'll give them a couple more days.

That's all for today!!!!

Ordered my 400w MH LAMP hps tonight, should get it in a week or so, but im using it for flowering. My 150w hps should arrive tomorrow which I will use for the rest of this veg.

you know MH puts out blue light which is good for vegging and HPS puts out red light which is good for flowering right?

Hows Venus looking today? Haha.

Also be careful with distilled/bottled water. I was using some and it was like a pH of 5. Not good, my tap water was a pH of 6.8 which is much better. Just a heads up if your plants start to look like they are suffering. :blsmoke:

Well good news and bad news.

The bad news is that the other seeds didn't sprout, so I dig one up to find a dead, dry cracked seed. *sigh*

We still have one more germinated seed that could very well sprout.

Good news:

Venus looks wonderful! She's grown to an inch and a half already!

Tested distilled waters PH and rated a 7. Give this girl a lil spritz and were ready for more growth!

Sucks to find that your other seed didn't sprout hopefully that third one does. At least your got your Hogs Breath :)

I posted some pictures in my journal of some side views so you could see some height. Yours may be around the same height as mine, but mine have bigger leaves.

Sweeeet! I see your gonna stick with the planet names for the plants, haha.

Hey, why are the sizes of your pictures so small. You should make them bigger so I can see more and zoom in! :joint:
