So today is a good day. All of my supplies came in and i will be going up the ventilation system today and will update pics in a few hours. One question though. Is it time to switch to the hps?

I got the carbon filter, inline fan, ducting, speed controller, hps bulb, azomite, molasses and sea kelp

I thought i was going to need to allow my fan down but it looks like at full speed it still isn't keeping the temps down low enough so really i didn't need it

The most common use is to slow down a fan that will over-power a system.

...used when people cannibalize appliances for their squirrel cage fans (i.e. stoves)

Good luck,

I left it hooked up. Goin to play disc golf. I will check the temps in a couple hours and upload some pics. I want to see what it's at after it stabilizes a while. I think we are in the 80s now though :(

I have it at canopy level now. My power went out though. I am worried because it is not like we had bad weather. I hope everything gets fixed soon

Nice variety you have in there. I grew out La Diva freebie from attitude along side an auto WW. La Diva grew circles around the WW. I harvested 61 days after sprout and was amazed with the smoke. Definitely a sativa-type high great for the daytime. I was so surprised with her that I bought a 3 pack from Herbies and now I'm growing 2 more at the moment. :)

Definitely going to follow along with this. I hope you enjoy LD as much as I did/do.

Cool man. I like hearing from ppl with some similar experiences. I hope she keeps doin good. I feel like she is growing circles around blue mammoth. Mine was a freebie as well. I do like the autoflower characteristics but I'm hoping that with just two plants that autos will yield enough to keep me Smokin in between grows. I hope she can handle s little excess heat because my tent is in the 80s and i can't figure out what to do. I don't want to leave the tent open because that defeats the purpose of having a tent plus i can finally sleep in my room with the tent shut but my inline fan is just not kicking enough heat out of the tent. I cannot afford a portable ac and a window unit will not work because my bedroom window is broken and won't open plus i live in an apartment so i don't want ducting running everywhere. Anybody have some ideas? What if I put one of those slow release co2 bags in there? I heard they need to be in the 80s top get the full effect from co2 anyway. Did that sound like a good idea?

u got that fan in the wrong spot.....................put it outside the tent so it pulls thru the filter then the light...........always easier to pull than to push............2 fans... one for the filter one for the light is the way to go

co2 is for sealed rooms................yours is vented

I think I only yielded 26 grams off La Diva, but she was only in a 1 gallon pot under roughly 225 actual watts of CFL's. This run I've got both of them in 3 gallons under a 400w HPS but they're sharing the space with 2 others.

I grow in a closet that's 2x4x8, so we have a similar size grow area. The ambient temp in my home is 76. I have a 400cfm inline fan attached to a carbon filter venting into the attic and a duct booster fan pulling in air from outside the area and blowing the heat off the light. Oscillating fan to simulate a breeze brings the count to 3 fans total. Before I had all three of these working together I was fighting temps and like you I had to leave the area open.

I plan on just growing a whole bunch this fall and winter so I won't have to worry about it again.

hey bro.........maybe u dont want the advice but u should be rockin a fan on the floor in the opposite dirrection of the fan at canopy level........and another at the ceiling same dirrection as the floor

You are dishing some good stuff here Woody, or so it seems to me.

The "vortex" pattern that you suggest is smart.

I only have one fan in my 5'X5' tent, but my lamp is ducted and
I am near the coast, so I am cool heat-wise.

I kinda lucked into a something similar to what you suggest, and
I thought that I might share the idea, to see if it survives scrutiny. :0)

I positioned my fan against the side of the tent, in the middle of one
of the sides, pointed slightly downward, so that it blows along that side
of the tent.

This makes air swirl down the sides of the tent, and all of the 36 plants
of my SOG get fresh air. Once the rotater broke I had to come up with
a way to avoid just always hitting one area of plants.

It is a full sized room fan, 16" I think, so I have strong airflow.

Onward and upward,

JD
