i have to agree with you about the ammonical N to an extent, it is still a very active nute just a little tox in overuse, definite weekly or bi weekly res changes required. once again not a good nute for microbes and thats not even getting into P salts.

that why i love soiless soil organic. growth like hydro tastes like organic! no mess (as far as a RES goes), pH can swing alot more, and you can make full use of microbes!

but i will say aero and DWC(i put hempy under DWC) has their place in my books a far as yeild and speed, every thing else is just a variation of a soil grow(rockwool, ebb and flow, NFT, drip ect) the medium is irrelevant since it is a solid, it would just be better to use a low nute soil and drip feed if you want to automate and go completely organic without sacrificing a lot of effort adn still get the growth rates. and plus using soiless you can use hydro nute to get that boost! at the right time feeding hydro nutes has doubled or even tripled my yeild the sudden switch up and access to nutes is amazing!

but my absolute favorite method to max yeild in double potting 1-2 weeks into flower! i just dont have the space for that right now.

cut the bottom off your pot and put it inside another pot filled about 3/4 root will grow through the bottom into the other pot.

It's so obvious now, but I also was wondering what u meant- lol...

I usually would just be in pots large enough in the first place, do you claim the actual act of double-potting helps increase yield somehow?

its no shock transplant plant when those roots reach that soil(and i make it HOT! i think someone was saying sub did something like this in layers in the dirt) the goes nuts the stem thickens incredibly, the root structure takes over the upper pot, and the tops just take off. yes it icreases yeild as a diect result of this growth.

double potting is just an under rated method you never hear about. but i love it.read about it in the original cannabis bible

Interesting concept. I didnt dee it in my version of the Cannabis Bible. If I were planing on keeping anything but mothers in soil it would be a trick I would start using.

Looking very nice. I like alot of green too, lots of nitrogen. It appears you have some slight burn on the tips if I am seeing it correctly. Overall something to be quite proud of... :D

Yeah I have been pushing nutes a bit since with soil I dont like the delay of adding nutes vs the plant taking anything in, so there is a slight burn to the tips. Other then that I think I am doing pretty well. Thanks for the encouragement TB and poly!

you got the right idea but once you see burn that means they can go a week without, or even just low dose i have a similar theory

So I have decided that I want to let you guys decide what I do in june when these girls finish. Going to post the options and then ask the folks subed to my journal to decide what I do next. Here are the Options.

A Dyna Gro vs X nutrients run of 2 Fire OG
Fire OG
Kens GDP
Girl Scout Cookies (Will most likely herm since they are most likely herm seeds but still want to grow em out and see)
U.K. Cheese

I will have 3 DWC bucket spaces so feel free to mix and match and let me know what you guys would like to see going on durring my next one. All my seeds are poped and planted with the exception of the UK Cheese which will hit soil tomarrow so I will have plants to clone from to sex and grow out ect.

None of the above. What kind of potency and weight do you want? What do you want it to taste like and look like? Do you favor quality or quantity or a balance of both? Many questions to ask yourself. I'd feel remiss in suggesting something and not knowing your preference. Not everyone is satisfied with every strain. Honestly, I wouldn't choose any of those; but, I may want something different than you.

Personally, I like all the White strains (Widow, Rhino, etc...) for potency hands down. For quantity but at a cost of potency I liked Big Bud and crosses with it. For taste, nothing stains my memory with deliciousness more than the pure Bubblegum. The craziest looking was Grape Ape. Again, you, and everyone else may likely think otherwise or have a different strain in mind as their favorite.

Personaly I prefer sativa's or a sativa heavy hybrid, but my fiance likes indicas so guess what I usually pick up lol. I really like White Fire OG, but I cant afford to go after that currently.

Right now I am learning so weight isnt my largest consern, but learning how to do things properly is. I cant afford to order seeds at the moment and I refuse to buy clones from the dispencary anymore since last time I brought problems home with them so I need to work with what I have on hand or just stop growing and keep wasting money at the dispensary. In the future when money is not an issue I allready have planed what I will be ordering and what I will want to work with, but I want to get the basics down pat before I start spending alot more money. As is I still have to justify to my fiance why I want to spend money on changing from soil to DWC instead of using that money for the wedding.

Thanks for your imput however Duder I do appreciate it.

A buddy gave me some sour diesel x snowbud seeds from 2004. I tried some of the bud that these seeds grew then; you could crack a skull with one of these nugs in a slingshot. One bowl burned long enough to get 5 people blitzed off their asses. Oh, and if you dont want those girl scout cookie seeds, feel free to mail 'em to me. I keep hearing good things. :p

Oh, and regarding which strain. If those are the only choices, I'd be partial to the GDP. Not sure who bred mine, it was a clone I picked up; but short of taking a weed-wacker to this bitch, it's pretty much unkillable. I've had good results smoking cheese, no clue about your strain though.

If I could get ahold of some Sour Deisel seeds I would def be doing some SD, one of my favs. I just dont have the cash to order the seeds I would like. If the GSC herms I can collect the pollen and send you some poly if you like.

Hopefully my GDP turns out as good as your KP, time will tell though. Right now I am thinking of doing a comparison between DG and Xnutes with the Fire ogs since they are from clone and I know they are female. So I think I am going to rephrase my request and ask what would you guys like to see in the 3rd DWC? Right now the votes are as follows.
