You can check out the specifics at the gofundme website. I've know this family for years and they have been through a lot. To see your child mentally decline has to be horrible. They are raising money to try the CBD therapy in Colorado that was shown on CNN's special with Sanjay Gupta.
Any little bit would help.

We have been receiving calls from the west coast, asking for access to our CBD rich strains. There is quite the effort at the grass roots level here breeding for CBD.

The highest cbd ratio I have learned of, may be right here in MI and the fella is RIU folk.

I wish you the best!

They are a family friend but not a close family friend. This showed up on my Facebook feed and had no idea they were interested in trying this approach. I am going to reach out to them but I want to get a few things straight before I do. Are there any doctors in Michigan that have been using CBD to help with epilepsy? Can the work that's being done in CO be done here? Are there any nonpsychoactive CBD oils available in Michigan?

We don't allow talk of buying or selling or trading bud or seeds in our forums.

For CBD therapy, there are products available now made from the hemp plant. Everyone in the US can buy them now from the Hempmeds website. Their concentrated extract has 21 percent CBD and less than 1 percent THC.

--And perfectly 'legal' now too eh....?

--why is it 'illegal' for all us in other places....?
....specially since the new 'cbd' forms are legal without any psychoactive properties....like THC--

seems they are herding us into a 'corporate' box they have designed for just a few at the top to garner all the gain
--thats what the lawyers here in michigan have designed for pts with their distribution model for their big $$ friends

i get the fact that RIU cannot allow open barter/trade for products/plants/seeds......from a 'legal' standpoint

--but 400$@ little bottle of cbd rich oil.....??? --wow!
The shit is free if we all allowed each other access and info

too bad the way things are headed and no synergistic pt groups rallying everyone
--a million different directions all directed by a million different egos

this poor family should contact the charlottes web strain guys there in colorado
....i have a feeling they would pro bono a worthy cause for some more free publicity

Theres enough cbd rich strains around to allow everyone access for almost free
-we just 'arent' allowed to share that or discuss the avenues anywhere....unless its for sale here in michigan

they want 300$@clone for cbd rich plants.....hahaha
funny the cbd rich hemp plants grow in ditches all over in indiana and illinois....

prolly not good to tell folks that

that will change soon as the new policy i have heard is to give it free to everyone and anyone that truly needs it

just my 2c ramblings........

The state of Colorado has become a refuge for families with children with epilepsy for two reasons: Colorado has the most liberal laws for use of marijuana, and it has opened a market for a strain called Charlotte's Web that is believed to be effective for people with severe epilepsy, the Associated Press reported.

At the beginning of the year, Colorado became the first state to allow recreational marijuana use for adults, but it medicinal marijuana has been legal since 2000, according to the AP.
The strain is high in cannabidiol, an ingredient in marijuana considered to have medical applications, and low in tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, which causes people to get high, the AP reported. The strain is taken in liquid form, not smoked.
Charlotte's Web is named after Charlotte Figi, the first child to try the strain two years ago, according to the AP. Charlotte was 5-years-old at the time and suffered 60 seizures a day. Now, her parents say, she has none.
Twenty states and the District of Columbia allow medical use of marijuana even though the diseases for which it is allowed differ by state, the AP reported. Washington state also has legalized recreational marijuana, but the law hasn't gone into effect.
The movement began in 1996, when California became the first state to legalize medical marijuana, says Allen St. Pierre, executive director of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, a pro-marijuana group, according to USA Today.

Since then, he says, NORML has fielded thousands of calls from people who want to move to states with medical marijuana, USA Today reported.

"Our advice is ... if you can do it, literally get on a plane and fly west," Pierre told USA Today.

Although New Jersey is one of the states that allow medical marijuana, it does not consider PTSD a qualifying condition for its use, according to the AP.

Its funny how their concentrate has the same cannabinoid levels as buds in their natural form. I've never seen any cannabis oil with such low cannabinoid levels. If their oil is only about 20% cannabinoids, what the hell is the other 80%?

No need to move to Colorado, Michigan has all the CBD strains you need right here!

yeah except for IT DOES grow all over in ditches in illinois and indiana and IT DOES have high cbd content....the industrial hemp

thanks for noticing......
Back in the mid to late 60's there was quite a boom in Indiana ditch weed, it was prevalent everywhere, we even had it right here (growing) in sw mi. I can say that a few individuals actually came across some that was active, one could cop a buzz (out of Indiana). I also know of at least one individual busted by leo during a late night harvest in Indiana. I've tried ditch weed out of Kansas in the same time frame that was active.

It grows wild in a lot of states, unfortunately i can't seem to find any places in Michigan where it grows wild.

I don't know what you're talking about. THC and CBD are only two of the approximately 100 compounds in the cannabinoid. From what I understand, the hemp plants that HempMeds are growing lab tests to about 15 percent CBD and less than 1 percent THC.

Their products are available now to anyone in the world.

Even patients in Michigan.

I'm asking what is the other 80% of the oil if its not CBD or THC? The majority of phyto-cannabinoids that man has discovered in cannabis are very rare and don't even show up in most strains, there are only a handful even common enough to test for.

So why is their oil so weak and so expensive? What don't they tell of what else is in the oil?

Good luck selling your snake oil...

I'm not selling it, I'm just spreading the word that most folks don't know. Who cares what you are asking? If you make a product like that from a high-CBD strain of marijuana, it will cost just as much. I covered this the last time you complained about the price. If it takes 3 ounces of bud to make a batch of CBD-rich salve, that is expensive too.

but most of those making cbd rich tinctures or salves in michigan arent charging anything for it. and if they were charging for it, it wouldn't cost the same as 3ozs of bud
