I reckon you should get away with that if it's a T5 or a lower powered led you use
 
I've a cannabis conundrum :weed:
I've only 5 seeds and the last run I only got one female so I've already exhausted the males?

To get around that problem It would be wise to cross the blockbuster x blockbuster that'd give me a shed load of f2 blockbuster seeds with a abundance of males to work with?
Is there any obvious flaws in that plan?

I know how that goes. Sometimes you have to sacrifice your only female to make more seeds.

I would at least take some clones off her, before flipping her into flower.

I took this picture today. Its the Amnesia Haze. You can see one of the sacks ready to start dropping pollen. This is when I pluck the sack, and set it on a piece of paper for one day. Then I gently press on it with a brush until the pollen is released. Then I brush the pollen onto one small bud. This method is pretty simple. You can place a sandwich bag around the bud, after pollinating it. This will keep the pollen from spreading, and the condensation will destroy all the extra pollen making it no longer viable.

I will pollinate the Amnesia Haze thats in the flower tent, tomorrow.

I pollinated the two lower branches of the plant. I didn't bother putting a bag around the branches, but it is recommended. I have enough experience on how to do this without worrying about pollen flying around.
Hint, the brush doesn't have to be heavily loaded with pollen. I also take the plant outside and blow off all the unseen unused pollen that is lingering on the buds.

All done. We should see some swollen calyxes in about 5 days.
 
Week 7 of 12/12
They are starting to look tired. All the middle and lower buds are still swelling up. The tops look like they are beginning to foxtail. Not far from harvest. Valley Ice looks like a fast finisher.

The veg tent is looking a little empty. I killed a lot of males. Bummed to say that it looks like all four Silver Haze are males. I will know for sure in another week. I started 3 more SSH seeds. IMG_20241215_181414363.jpg




I started six F4 Valley Ice seeds. Super curious to see how they grow. Im going to toss out the Malawi. I have taken 2 clones of the best female and I plan to flower them as soon as they root. I will also flower the plant that I took the cuttings from. Making that a total of three Malawi plants in flower. I decided to flower the plant that had the thinnest and longest leaves. Its beautiful and incredibly vigorous.
I also took the tops of two F1 Brandywine x Valley Ice. They will also go into the flower tent once they root.
Also flowering a SFV OG clone.
The rest of the space will be filled with Valley Ice clones.
Here is the lineup so far.
- 1x Amnesia Haze
- 3x Malawi Gold
- 2x F1 Brandywine x Valley Ice
- 1x SFV OG
- 2x Purple Sativa VI (anticipating this plant to perform very similar to MTF indoor.) Will be crossing it with SSH male.

One of the grafts has taken. I checked them yesterday. I will wait another 2 weeks before removing the plug from the graft that was successful.
I cut new material and am attempting to graft the other two cuts again. IMG_20241215_181426374_HDR.jpg

Hey bud, you commented about sometimes having to using the last female to make seeds, are you using sts or some other method?

My seeds are coming up on 3 wks I want to ask you about flipping the female?

My seeds, hopefully a suitable blockbuster male will be showing sex in around 2wks frim now, based on that when would you flip the clone that's getting pollinated.

Are you doing the pollinating in a different space? If so, flip both male and female at the same time.

I dont know what your set up is like. There are many ways to approach this.

Yes im going to use a separate space to pollinate it.
I've started seeds under 12-12 i intend to use on a clone of exo.
I was thinking about now might be a good time to flip it, that would make it 2/3wks into flower when hopefully I can find a suitable blockbuster male from the seeds that are growing atm.

Sounds good. You can also store pollen in a container for about 3-4 weeks without any issues. That gives you some wiggle room, just in case the timing is off.
