It's one of there cheaper ones that sensi skunk and white labels purple bud and guerillas gusto but it's better than all those imo

I wish I could get it to focus on one of trichomes. It had a purple pattern in it, that looked like four flower petals. Ive never seen anything like it before. Its a microscopic universe!

It doesn't matter how close you get you'll still want a closer look, I'd to see the expression on microbes faces (assuming they have one) ideally I'd like a scanning electron microscope.

My memory card doesn't register in this phone and it's pain to swap cards from another phone to the microscope and back then log it in etc, my hands don't have the dexterity they once did but I've few microscope pics I can share.

Ah, that fkin mite, I'm so worried about that starting my run soon. Them and your battle with nats you got control of. I was thinking of making spray from the habaneros and boil in a bit of water for 10 min, supposed to fry mites from heat in pepper makes sense they sell other sprays with it in. Guys here swear by it. Sweet pics

Be careful when taking clones they're often a source of problems!!
A wetting agent is your best friend fighting bugs, when I fought them I seen the difference a wetting agent makes under the microscope.
Without a wetting agent the hairs on mites react with surface tension in water creating like a safety bubble, with a wetting agent as soon as water makes contact them it immediately covers them up drowning them.
I got rid of mites 100% with H202 or citric (I'd need to check) wetting and/ or H202 was actually for the eggs the wetting agent with just water kills them effectively ime.
Fwiw I dunked the whole plant down to the coco gave it 5min and repeated and that was pretty much it tbh, mites for me weren't a huge problem compared to frickin gnats lol.

I see gnats here and there. Ive been using diatomaceous earth. It helps control things but it hasn't got rid of them completely. I dont really pay attention to them if there are a few sneaking around in the veg tent. They eventually die once the go into the flower tent because conditions are very different in there.

Id go with hotter ones tho habenaros aren't so potent something like Carolina reaper chilli powder or ghost Nagas that kind of range
There's a few different kinds i think that is a two spotted spider mite unless I'm mistaken

I found a few pics that might interest you guys?
The last two are fungus gnat larvea, I found they can take up to 7wk from egg to adult.
The spider mite I dealt with didn't lay clusters of eggs like you might expect they appear random and in 1s I spotted the eyes from inside an egg.
The black spots turn red in the egg as it matures.

They'd be a nightmare in flower where I couldn't really fight them I'd cancel it lol.

Saw this and felt inspired to do a similar stress test. The weak will die and the toughest survivor will be cloned once it enters flower, and brought inside for a controlled backcrossing. It should produce some tough offspring.
I have hundreds of seeds to spare, might as well start a few dozen. Im going to leave them outdoors, on my deck. Once they are big enough to transplant, I will put them in my smaller veggie beds which are currently empty.
Slugs will be a problem, so I will have to use some Sluggo.

I went into the greenhouse today, and spotted some volunteers.
Im going to prep the bed and sow around 200 F4 seeds. They will be spaced about 9" apart. Seems like the perfect time to start the seeds, so that I can find one or two resilient plants before spring rolls around. It will be the first time I do a backcrossing, and im pretty excited about that. I will start a new thread for this project. Just wanted to update this thread for the very last time.
