Maplin is great for stuff, but not always the cheapest.
They have LED bulbs in there too that I had considered, but they didn't have the ones I wanted and that's why I went CFL.
But nowt compares to the eBay deals I've been finding :) £1.20 for 75w CFL is unseen!

So I've had some drama with the snappage this last week, but they're all apparently responding well to their surroundings, temps and air movement.

LST is going well too, they all seem to be responding very well to being tied down (apart from stumpy, which has now started behaving following a second snap!)

Little scraggler, is doing well now also. Having had a very slow start, new nodes are appearing and seemingly wanting to grow. Although overall, it's still very small, stringy and thin. But hopes are high.

One or two of the bigger ones are loving the LST and are looking very bushy - what's the odds that these are the males LoL

As there's still no popping from the new seed, I'm not so inclined to switch the lights yet. Plus I have a 3000 words assignment to start which needs to be finished by Wednesday and all I want to do is sit in my shed pmsl
So another week of veg is not a bad idea.

This extra week of veg, also puts my harvest date beyond Christmas and more like New Year. But at least I know it's coming!

Temps are down to an average of 22C - and i'm considering putting a switch on the internal fan as I think I'm going to need it when it gets colder next month.

Spidey is looking hungry... I've seen any new flies in the cab since his arrival but that's to say he's eating them. I think he probably just can't get out and the flies are just staying away because of the cold.

Bud Porn.

Come back next Monday for the next installment :)

No more eager than I my friend lol

Some of the leaves look crumpled - that's cos they've been tied up around the main top.
My LST trick for a cheeky main top that won't bend, is to smother it in fan leaves to block out it's light, which then sends the growth hormone to the lower leaves. It really seems to be working too :) But I am concerned about leaving them open for flowering as they'll be taller than the others. I'll just have to keep training them lightly as they flower.

Good idea. I like ya thinking might have to try that out. Cheers

This shall not be classed now as week 5 of veg...
I've switched my lights!!!!
So officially, this is now 1st week of flowering! Woo! :joint:

Trouties fault LoL His Green O's have started sprouting hairs and I'm proper jealous. So I decided to forget the seed, it'll do what it's gonna do regardless when it pops up.
Actually, I just went digging and looking for it and it appears to be gone! :-? So if it ever pops up it'll be a little bonus experiment, no loss.

As close to Christmas as I can get it, but still probably gonna be New Year...

ang on... They've been there since May...? I expect you haven't seen him for a few weeks? pmsl That dude is proper caned right now, trust!

Well, these baggies came from me mate. 50% ish of them he'd had in a bag for donkeys already, and the other 50% came from his first ever attempt, which was a 'just-throw-it-in-and-see-what-happens' kind of deal. In a pot, in his garden. There were more than two males, the fems got raped and produced a shit load of seeds. But those originals came from a friend of his and I forget the details of what they are, nothing special I know that much.
But his second attempt, in his cupboard, he planted (I forget exactly) about 26 seeds of which 11 were females. This time he separated them quickly! lol A few died, a few hermied and he was left with, I think, 6 plants. They harvested 5.5 Oz dry weight! Tall skinny bitches they were, I would guess of the Sativa Haze variety. We're still smoking that shit now pmsl with about half ounce left before his next crop in just over a week's time. Bring on the cheese! :)

So you ended up with 2 after potting 10. At least you couped something for your trouble eh... Just how much did those two yeild? I'm interested to know what can be achieved with crappy seeds, for obvious reasons!

Yay! I'm finally flowering!

that was in a greenhouse that got about 3 hours direct sunlight a day.... and i would say about 15-20grams each ... so about an ounce dry... (cut at least 2 weeks early) so didn't have the big fattening up that the end of flowering produces, would have been more and better .... makes me more determind not to repeat my errors .... 50% amber trics for me ... or hold the harvest .... i'd rather wait and get wrecked then rush and be bitterly disapointed AGAIN lol.... bag seeds generally are ok ... its the grower that makes the difference

I have been checking for pre flowering, but tbh I know too little about it. I don't think so.
I bloody better have some fems in there! Hopefully shouldn't take more than a week for the dirty bitches to lift their skirts for me ;)

That is a shame, but you've learned from your mistake and that's what's important :)
An Oz though, that's pretty good for only 3 hours per day and from just two plants. Now I'm really looking forward to crimbo!

Now my lights have switched, I shall spend this week on the veg juice and adjusting my environment for temps and air flow. Hopefully it'll all be sorted by next week so I can start on the bloom juice :)
Besides, I'm on my last little drop of veg juice so I'm hoping it can actually stretch another week lol though I'm sure water alone will be adequate if I have to.

I have been checking my temps on and off throughout my first 'off cycle' and it seems okay so far... a little warmer than my 'on cycle' which is a bit strange but not devastating.
My ON is now roughly at 22C with the OFF at around 20-26C (I have my heat cables timed at 15 min intervals to prevent over heating). Yes the temp is strange when OFF but it's still within the reasonable zone.

My OFF is 7am to 7pm, lights on through the night - like their daddy lol (insomniac)

Awesome grow dude, just finished looking over your entire thread. You like to write a book =) which is awesome. I look forward to seeing future progress. I think your right also, you have less head room than I do. It makes me feel like mine is really doable now. I just need more lights in there (maybe get some higher wattage like you have).
