yeah .. mine we're stinking when i got home again today! ... doing my update tonight ... as i cant wait untill tomorrow LOL :-)

yeah you have found a fair few bargains during the past few weeks....you should move into your own role as a purchasing adviser for grow bits

i can't fault the auto's so far ... little...fast ...no 12/12 to worry about ... its as simple as throw and grow (to within reason, i'm sure they can be a pig if you get them wrong like any strain would be).... some say yeild is lower, but i say nearly twice as fast for nearly half as much is about the same at the end of the day ...... and to get the most yeild from a photoperiod plant you gotta veg and scrog the shit out of it ....so any extra yeild is lost in time Vs turnover
Yeah mate, I think auto could be the way forward. You know anything about the strain 'speed devil' ? Very short harvest time, short growth and highly potent, but not a great yielder is what I've read so far. It's cheap, that's why I'm interested ;) I could grow a couple of them in my cab, and cos they're auto's I could throw them in with my current lot after I've discarded some males (I know there will be some)...

LoL always considering more options!

hey cumbers i noticed that your using the same nutes as me.... have you got the week by week feed chart that goes with them?.... and if not would you like it?
I didn't know there was a chart! lol
Yeah course, I'd love to see it. I can't say that I'd follow it though but it sure would be interesting to see what it says.

I would say though... my nutes probably won't last this grow out as they were hand-me-downs from my mates first grow and he has better ones now - and when it comes time to get new ones I'll have to look around for cheap options (LOL@ grow purchase adviser). They are sufficing for the now though. Or at least they seem to be. I have no real comparison as to how these things would have grown with just water, so it's hard to say just how good/bad these nutes are.

i fear roosters are on the loose, either a male plant or a more twisted she/male
pics aren't perfect, but those do look like balls

yeah looks like you have a dude chillin in your garden... I would wait a day or two more to see if it's a hermie... but there's a good possibility you are going to have to chop.

firstly .... yeah i think your right..... keep it going for a couple of days, it will become clear as more of them nuts will form, they will not be able to do any harm yet so bare with it and see.......

Hey thanks guys, I appreciate your advice.

I've looked at it again a while back, and although really small and hard to see, the 'sack' looks like it is opening up with what appears to be a new branch about to appear...
Very confusing lol
I may come back later with a photo. It's bushing out so well right now with new bud sites appearing everyday its the biggest and strongest of them (a good indicator of male genes) so lets just hope this one is actually fem.

Been feeding a diluted mix of both veg and bloom juice and they appear to be liking it. Temps are sitting nicely at between 21C and 24C. Little scraggler is beginning to fill out superbly, so much so that I've decided to tie its head down to bush it up a bit more, the calyx's are getting really quite long on it, which to me is suggestive of a female.

I will be doing a hardware update soon too. Not with tomorrows pic update lol.
I've acquired another big set of cellotex insulation sheets, a carbon filter with tubing and an inline fan, and a shit load of mylar! - I'm thinking a second, larger, flowering cab ;)
Then keep this current cab for vegging only. I can then get on and get my next cycles garden started with the vegging - can't wait to get started on this new project :)
Only thing I'll need to go purchase is a new light and reflector - seen em on ebay for £40-ish

i would seriously recomend hps for your dedicated flowering room... i know there is a cost issue, but it would pay you back in one grow. i really can't wait to fire mine up!.........
sounds like your upping your game once again, bugger i'm a way off getting my tent setup rocking yet, but i'll be watching yours :-)

ahh the old hps question... I'm avoiding that shit like the plague mate lol, as you know trout I want to eventually move to LED's. Once I've got a decent and fully functioning cycle of bud harvesting I can then do these little experiments.
LoL @ the tent - you'll be going pro then pmsl you should keep your little cab and be a pro cab grower instead.
My second cab won't be a lot bigger than my current one, just a little bit taller, prbably just over a metre high. I'm not quite sure yet about the construction, am still considering my options for exhausts and for heating/air transfers etc. I'll get started in a week or two.

ahhhhhh so nice ta have a closet lol no building or inventing, im not tha constructive type: P
Damn I wish I had a cupboard... But it is fun having to build something from scratch with no funding lol and very rewarding seeing my babies enjoying their environment :)

A few pics as promised;

New fan and carbon filter.
The lower area of my shed workbench. Insulating the lower half will give me X3 the space that I have already :)
Little scraggler, tied down - it looks sad like that :( but needed. Check out the node growth in just 2 days! i want them babies to bush out proper. When they have I'll unpop the the top node and just what it does (assuming it's a fem that is)
The last 4 pics are of the potential male. Which now looks confusingly un-male. again the images aren't very clear but I got the best I could - it's bushing out so well and fantastic to watch :)

Proper picture update tomorrow night.

I just ordered seeds :S
Call me impatient if you will LoL But now I have second cab on the brain, I feel an urge to get vegging something in preparation...

I spent minimally and bought one seed from herbies pick n mix which was a Heavyweight Fruit Punch, you get 3 free seeds with all purchases! 1 Delicious Caramelo feminised and 2 regular Big Bud.

My plan, will probably change lol, but for now, it is to get on with building so I can germinate stuff (probably the fruit punch and the caramelo) and hopefully have some vegged goodness ready for cloning with a week or two left from the harvest of this first run. Then to have these clones vegging while the original seeds are flowering.
It all seems to easy, thinking about it... I bet it won't be lol

I have lots of 'stuff' in the shed with no where else to put it, so it may have to go live in the bin to make way for my new cucumbers ;)

I know man, I'm so excited! :D

I'm even thinking about cross breeding in the future so I can keep seeds from the strains that I like, how cool would that be! :)
For that I'll need a high yielding and short flowering strain to get a male from and of course to learn more about pollination-acquiring techniques. I've been reading a little and it really doesn't seem that hard. It seems you can just pollinate one bud for seed and let the rest of the female grow out as normal. I'll know more on this as the time arises.

Im doing the same thing, Im going to light stress my diesel ryder and collect pollen, then pollenate a female, fem seeds... tons of them :) everyone should be doing this. Why ever order seeds again unless new flavors right?

males tend to show first anyways.. so simply switching to 12/12 will bring your males out ......... you can switch back to veg if you require or just roll with seperating and pollenating

Pollenating seems like quite a fun adventure. I can't wait to start crossing and creating seeds. Im sure we will all help each other out when the time comes ;) You guys are a great source of info... lol.
