Sorry to say but everyone is just pulling your leg by saying "about a pound" .... as that's a standing joke in RIU to those asking about yield
You just cannot predict your harvest weight....so many factors will impact the total yield, so as a joke we say "bout a pound"
As for removing leaves.....well that's as controversial as flushing...some believe in it, many don't.
I would suggest that you do not remove leaves (defoliate or prune) until you have a much better understanding of the process, as you can easily ruin your crop if you don't do it properly.
