She's doing okay too.
Kinda making me wish I put her into shock with the other one. But at least it will be interesting to see the difference in growth, being the same age, one in flower and one in veg.

Her branches are still quite small, but I'm sure it'll only be a week or two before she can give me four clones.
its going to be nice mate.... a little from the first one... then four more clones.... then the mother ... gotta be happy with that :-)

That's kind of the plan yes :) Although I can pick up clones from this strain any time, it is rather a good experiment for me as I've never cloned anything before.
I will of course try to document the entire process in this thread :)

Four clones yes, but I'll be flowering only two of them to save space for other strains. The other two will get more veg time so will hopefully be bigger than this one, or then next two. and then the Mother is gonne be vegged through that time too, so I could effectively flower her off same time as clone #4 for a nice send off to the strain hehehe until the next bout - as I'm sure there'll be another, of course depending highly on the outcome of my other strains.
I want to find a few good strains that I can run simultaneously and continuously. One for high yields (Big Bud, Budziller). One for high grade (Budziller, Cheese). Then one for my tickly taste buds (Fruit Punch) :) This suggested system of perpetualism would be my ideal set up.
I may have to go through plenty more strains to find my ideal flowers, but I can honestly say, I don't really mind lol

Clone #2;
Not a lot going on here since last update, but branches are starting to fill with new bud sites and new leaves. Am looking forward to seeing first pistels!

Sister/Mother, from the Vegging cab, otherwise known as Clone #1;
She's already got one branch long and nodey enough for cloning :) Just need a few more and some more height.

Really need some advice on when and where to clone this from.
I want to keep it low, so I was thinking of taking cuts from the top? I know others like to take their cuts from the bottom to encourage further top growth, but I don't need that at this stage as I actually want it as low as possible.
If I take cuts from the top, should I take the actual top for cloning? Would it not grow a lot differently to a branch?

from what i have heard its best to take the older lower growth for cloning leaving the main top for the final flowering of the mother ... i don't know much about cloning yet other then reading a couple of "cloning how to" threads which talk mostly about water/rockwool/soil cloning and the importance of underwater cutting and using sterile blades for better results ... before the time comes i might pop a random bag seed (gender is not important) and just play with it to see if i can get results from 1 maybe 2 different ways of cloning to see what is the best method for me, before i ruin a perfectly good plant LOL.... and the other thing i'm really interested in is scrog'ing a plant... keeping the canopy totally uniform looks like the perfect answer to getting the best from my cfl setup

Yes I agree with all of that, trout. Particularly the scrog. All power to the scrogger! lol I've not had my set up, set up. So I've not really experimented yet.
I also believe it best to scrog with a single strain, so you know that all plants are going to respond the same way. Multiple strains could prove difficult to predict.

yeah deffo... i like what GB did with the individual scrog pots ... that might help keep things in order

First pistel popped yesterday!! Woo! I should really then call this day two of flowering.

Isn't that about right? the eight weeks starts when flowering starts, OR does it start same time as the 12/12 ?? Anyone ??

Mother/Sister;
I expect I'm just gonna throw this one in the cab this coming weekend, as I've got more clones coming and can't really afford the storage space to keep her as a Mum.

Pulled out of the box for a sneaky peek;
First pistels poking through. Growth seems a LOT less than the other one by comparison, but considering it's making pistels and filling out the new pot it kinda makes sense. Badly need that new lamp before the sister gets thrown in.

wow... mums packing on the beef .... yeah bruv shuv her in and then you can weigh up and see if the couple of weeeks veg makes much difference or if straight from rooting to flowering is just as good... i dont know because i've never done it but i think the vegged one will have the edge (nature is a bad loser)

everything is looking great my friend ... oh ...hows the man flu going, have you retreated to bed with a bell for getting attention yet? hahahahaha

Ha no bell, no chance of that in this house! But getting better... slowly... ;)

Indeed, Mum is filling out like a burger eating whore. These few weeks seem to have made a HUGE difference in vegetivity, which no doubt will reflect in the rooting, which in turn will of course reflect extremely well in flowering.
But if there's only a few grams difference between the two though, it'll then be more productive for me to go with the earlier one in future. Like always, we'll see :)

Saying that though, I don't mind staggering the clones two by two weeks, cos that means staggering harvest's as well. I can keep a perpetual 2 week harvest this way with a different strain every month ;)

What's funny there, is the difference between mine and me mates. His have stretched out loads compared to mine. I reckon it's to do with how close I have my bulbs to the plant's as they're all staying small and bushy :) The Cheese though, bushy as fook mate! I can't say I've ever seen any as bushy before.
