I believe the phrase is: “missing the forest for the trees” ?
Not to mention their unwillingness to increase punishment for domestic abuse etc. The more recent push for one vote per household/name matching birth certificate only makes their standing on women's rights more clear. They care nothing about women in sports or otherwiseSimilarly to the “republicans hate women” mantra regularly shared here and in the ether because of abortion bans/limitations
So quick question....have u thought about a woman or lady that has boy characteristics....? JcI'm in the middle on most arguments because I like to see what people have to say and the reasoning behind their thinking.
I see that lemon is saying that he doesn't like trans woman in women's sports and he doesn't feel that it is fair.
I'm not seeing any arguments on why it should be allowed. Just a bunch of hate thrown his way.
IMO, a man who thinks he is a woman and adds breasts and makeup to his daily routine is certainly not physically a woman. Especially if they keep their penis.
This does not mean I would disrespect this person in any way. I would treat them as a human being and go along with what they call themselves.
What gets me most is the reasoning for them wanting to play sports as a woman but not as what they were, men. Something throws me off about that.
The limitations of the average should not impeded access to the extraordinary. I think we should end gender segregation. At a young age, any person who dedicated themselves to a game should excel beyond their peers. Question about competitive fairness dont really come into play until the highschool level at the point i say let the ones who can play with the boys do so and the ones that cant can go sign up for a rec league. would much rather see the 10-20 women who could legitimately play and win in the NBA do so then have a WMBA. Combat sport already regulates physical advantages by implementing weight classes.I'm in the middle on most arguments because I like to see what people have to say and the reasoning behind their thinking.

there is infact plenty of evidence but hes not interested in said evidence because his mind is made up and neither are youI'm in the middle on most arguments because I like to see what people have to say and the reasoning behind their thinking.

Im not going to touch base on the rest because you arent interested in learningAnything I write or share even in jest isn’t meant to be hateful. People may disagree with it but even the furthest left person on this site would be welcome at my table. We can agree to disagree. It’s fun. This site, besides Reddit, is the only one I see what I view as far leftist views. It’s important for me to see and engage with it. It’s wild because we grow and for like 15 years I’ve considered sites like this and icmag full of “peers.” From what I see maybe 80% of the posts are pro left and there is a percentage of those posts that are the equivalent of a leftist Alex Jones tin foil hat mentality. That’s perfectly ok with me.
I don't think @1212 or @lemondroptrichomes commments rise to the level of phobic. I fully support everyones right to live their life in a manner they see fit. Im happy to address you and treat you as you identify, I don't care how you pray(if you do) who you sleep with/marry. But let's be real have a conversation based in science and reality, gender reassigning has limits, you can change your appearance and your hormones but you can't change your gentics, there are fundamental differences between the sexs that play a role in dictating our physical attributes and concerns of competitive fairness are reasonable. Women have advantage over men as well. On average, they have a higher pain tolerance, more endurance, higher endorphin response and higher emotionl intelligence/development. However this issues should be resolved by the body's that govern the individual sports and not play out on the political stage. Like stated many times above it simply is to small of an issue to take up space in our political discourse we have far bigger issues to tacklethere is infact plenty of evidence but hes not interested in said evidence because his mind is made up and neither are you
you are also in fact being completely blinded by majority of trans people are in fact not in sports.
You written verbiage is also transphobic, so is lemons.
You are in fact not treating someone as a human being when youre writing transphobic statements,
Users arent interested in trying to provide information to someone who isnt interested in it, its exhausting, google exists, no one is "hating" on him in fact as stated here most have him on ignore
they are indeed phobic, comments like " a man who thinks he is a woman and adds breasts and makeup to his daily routine is certainly not physically a woman. Especially if they keep their penis."I don't think @1212 or @lemondroptrichomes commments rise to the level of phobic. I fully support everyones right to live their life in a manner they see fit. I am a lover of knowledge and understanding I am always willing to change my mind in light of new evidence, please if you have data to suggest that we can swap out x and y croms post birth, a trans women achieving a viable pregnancy, or a trans man producing viable semen I would find it truely fascinating and will adjust my perspective accordingly. This entire conversation (not just on riu but in public discord as well) is entirely to narrow and lacking nuance. Trans is not one thing but a spectrum , all this convo is so focused on the (I don't know the acceptable terminology but mean no offense) trans by choice with complete disregard for the fact the hermaphodism exists in humans and takes on a wide range of forms and that is no one's business but their own and they should not be restricted from services that will allow them to live the best most normal life possiblethey are indeed phobic, comments like " a man who thinks he is a woman and adds breasts and makeup to his daily routine is certainly not physically a woman. Especially if they keep their penis."
are 100000% transphobic
There is in fact plenty of evidence out there scientific ones you guys just aren't interested in it because it doesnt back what YOU want it to say
it’s a shame that’s what you take from my initial response. I care about life as much as anyone. There is no perfect political answer. I didn’t enact the restrictions you’re referring to.Im not going to touch base on the rest because you arent interested in learning
"agree to disagree" isnt fun when peoples lives are generally at stake, agree to disagree is fun when its like "do you like pineapple on pizza" not "i dont think women should have access to medical abortion for a medical condition so go ahead and die "

Rates of pregnancy-related sepsis and deaths grow in Texas after abortion ban
ProPublica’s first-of-its-kind analysis is the most detailed look yet into a rise in life-threatening complications for women experiencing pregnancy loss under Texas’ abortion ban.www.texastribune.org
Youve been on RIU for a year, ive been here since 2008, so lets drop the "what i know about riu" RIU was filled with a lot of republicans who ended getting themselves banned because they could not stop giving death threats, doxxing, and violent behavior towards others, a lot of those people ended up on icmag which is probably why you think so highly of it because you're among political peers.
We have decided to turn a page on rollitup and be a place where people in general are welcome provided they can follow our rules. we have extra rules in politics due to the issues with it.
We are not going to call our user base "tin foil hat leftists" thank you, and reddit has a large trump supporting base
I'm done here because debating you is a waste of my time which is precious to me, I got shit to do.
Honestly, there's no point to it. I have more important things to focus on, like moderating a site with 1.5 million users, handling tech issues, responding to support emails, and doing my job here.
I was thinking the exact same thing. If they aren't talking about the important issues it's a diversion, 100% because they don't want you to know their true intents. Look what's happened to the media. We've gone from Walter Cronkite to Tucker Carson. They exist to titillate and entertain you, to sell you, help you consume consume consume, but most definitely not inform you.same thing
I have to admit, the idea of a man becoming a woman and then competing against women in the athletic sphere irks me, but this is a insignificant issue % wise w/what's going on in this country that it serves as another interference/distraction tool. It comes from the pizza-gate child rape by D pols. right wing obfuscation machine who alter the narrative or muddy the waters w/a bevy of disinformation making EVERYTHING a conspiracy sowing seeds of hatred to influence/confuse voters and execute a political end run. Meanwhile the things that matter like citizens getting answers concerning taxation,,S.Security ,Health ins. from a hollowed out Fed. govt.,or seeing promises unfulfilled regarding the everyday cost of living,or continuing to saddle future gens. w/a ever increasing Nat. debt ( to go up w/a ridiculous tax cut benefiting those w/extreme wealth) or finally the incredible damage our nation's reputation is undergoing, will anyone even like us in 4 yrs? All these core issues are that are going to screw 90% of the country are the primary narrative IMO,would you get your car detailed when it has 4 bald tires? Trump uses issues like this as eye candy,a splash of color on the flanks to take eyes off the assault right down the middle, anything that splinters unity.
It's pretty amazing that someone like me,who considers Trump vile and watched a R party that I didn't always HATE become a rogues gallery of spineless, complicit collaborators seemingly terrified to uphold the Constitution. As an American w/a pragmatic, common sense approach to politics, that includes sensible social programs, health ins. for all, taxation based upon wealth,pro-choice,strong defense, and some fiscal responsibility w/FUTURE gens. in mind now defined as a far LEFTIST liberal. I don't expect to agree w/a Pres. or party on all issues, but ,I never expected our country to put a completely amoral individual, lacking dignity, respect for the office or the rule of law having his business/finances so intertwined w/his Presidency making the sky the limit for malfeasance and nat. security risks into the WHouse. It is so "outside the box" of what I'd perceived as "normal" ,that the infamous "escalator ride" in 2015 marked the beg. of the end of truths, facts,or reality as we understood them.Im not going to touch base on the rest because you arent interested in learning
