ec levels

Hi there new to this site. Newbie to this hobby. Just started with 4 20 litre buckets recirculated bubbler system. How high does the ec have to be when using cana hydro? Thanks for any help. Don't want to burn my babes!

PPM - EC for Hanna Chart PPM


Seedlings, Early Sprouts 100 to 250

Early Vegging 300 to 400

Full Vegetation 450 to 700

Early Blooming 750 to 950

Full Mature Blooms 1000 to 1600

Note: EC Calculations are different, here's a conversion chart :
heres a great chart that shows how different PPM can be from meter to meter... EC is the only real universal language...

cheers for the advice ive been told not to take the ec level past 1.5 ec dont know if this is right

Is ec measured with a multimeter ?

EC can be measured with a multi meter, or just an ec pen - check ebay or any hydro store

leswscott, you can raise the ec as much as you want, provided you dont burn the plants. dont give the plants any nutrients till they have three sets of leaves though.

does it matter how close you hold the leads together when using a multimeter ? thanks !
