Thanks Toker! I wish they'd stop with the vertical growth though. 3 weeks into flowering and they're still climbing. I had no idea, but I guess you learn something with every grow. I've learned a ton and will make several changes/alterations on my next go round.

Day 47 (21st Day Flowering)

Well, the HPS is as high as it can go and the box is chuck full. I've been tying these girls over, twisting/snapping stems, etc. etc. and I can't hold them back. They just keep wanting to go vertical. They are exhibiting good bud growth throughout, even under the canopy. I'm also tucking the larger fan leaves underneath every other day to allow more light down into the canopy, and within one day, all fan leaves are back to their original spots and trying to get closer to the HPS. A few leaves have started exhibiting some light burn, but not as badly as I thought considering how close they actually are. I'm pumping cool air in and I have the circulation fan blowing across the cool glass on the reflector. There's just not much more I can do. We'll just see what happens. Wish my box was a foot or two taller. Again, wish I'd started flowering 7 - 10 days earlier....

On another note, check out the earliest trichomes starting to form in one of my pics. They've just started popping up in the last 2 days.

i know its alot of work but it would be well worth it

Unfortunately there's no realisitc way I can. I've tried to brainstorm how to, but it would require taking it apart and rebuilding the framing. I'm just going to ride this grow out and then, for my next grow, make this my mother/clone/veg box and get a new 4w x 4d x 7h Hydro Hut for flowering.

I'm with ya on waiting for seeds Heruk, especially if they end up turning male. I got lucky on this grow. On my first grow, I had 3 males out of 4 plants .

For my next separate mother/veg/clone & flowering setup, I've purchased some Ice Cream feminized seeds, but damn were they expensive. Can't keep doing that, therefore I'll need to get into cloning and SOG.

nice grow. I am also growing in a cabinet with hydro but only one plant.

BTW, it's a becoming a daily trichome fest over here. New frost almost hourly!!! Fuck, wish I had 20 more inches of vertical space!!!! Oh well, not seeing much leaf burn at all. Just a few isolated spots where the leaves are basically touching the glass. Just have to tame them back every time I look.

Saw this product "BUSHMASTER" in Maximum Yield Magazine about a month ago and thought to myself, "Hey, I should buy some of this" Sigh....always go with your first instinct:

Haven't heard of it, but it does sound interesting. I'm really digging this Botanicare line I'm running. I'm a believer in the Pro Grow/Bloom, Liquid Karma, Hydroguard, CalMag, Sweet combo.

I think it's a little too late for me to try the Bushmaster, but I'm certainly going to pick some up for my next grow. It recommends using it in conjunction with kelp extract, which is the primary ingredient in Liquid Karma.

Can you go into more specific details on your CO2 system? I am thinking about doing something similar. Thanks.

Heruk - Hydroguard is the Botanicare product I add to my nutrients to guard against root rot and other root problems. Liquid Karma is a vitamin, amino acid, compost, and kelp extract product that promotes vigorous growth.

Myrelic - My CO2 setup is really quite simple and I'm assuming it's working well, although I really don't have anything to compare it to. It consists of 3 one gallon milk jugs that contain pure water, bakers yeast, and sugar. The jugs are filled about 2/3 full with warm (not hot) water, one packet (1 tsp) of bakers yeast, and 2 cups of sugar. I also poke a small hole in the lid for the exhaust of the CO2, which is one of the byproducts of the fermentation process as the yeast eats the sugar. The mixture is then shaken up and within about one hour, carbonation bubbles are noticeable. I also place a balloon over each lid and poke 3 pinholes in each balloon. This way I know when the concoction needs refreshing when the balloon is deflated. To refresh, I pour out about 1/3 of the water and put fresh water and 1 cup of sugar back in.

The 3 jugs were started 2 days apart and numbered 1 - 3. This way there is a cycle of fresh mixtures every 2 days. All jugs are placed into a cardboard box that has an outside air intake consisting of about a dozen small holes near the top, and a 4" air duct line attached at the bottom (CO2 is heavier than regular air, hence the reason for the top/bottom setup). The duct line runs into the grow box and has an small computer case fan to assist drawing the air in from the CO2 box. THERE IS A PIC OF THIS SETUP EARLIER IN THIS THREAD.

That's probably a little more detail than you needed and you probably have already read about the yeast mixture elsewhere, but what the hell. It might help some other people that want to know about the mixture. I can smell the fermentation and yeast inside the grow box, so I assume it's increasing the CO2 level to some extent. I don't have a CO2 gauge, so I'm not sure what level it's reaching.
