DJ's LED medical grow

Lookin good! Id recommend putting perlite in the bottom of those buckets so the roots coming out the bottom have something to grow into.

I noticed my plants really liked it. It usually only takes an inch to 2 at the bottom of the bucket. I top feed though so this might be harder for you with the whole dunk method.

Either way looks great! Just shows you what you can get from air pots. Cant wait to see what the final weight is.

I like the ability to clean and drain the trays separate from the AP's, there's perlite in the medium(R/O coco + Black Gold perlite). I'm not worried about the roots, once I open up those AP's, I'll post pics of the rootmass. If you missed the transplant pics pre-flower, that will give you an idea of what's up.

Update: Day 102.
5 weeks veg
9.5wks flower

"Flush day"
They were dunked twice in plain tap water ~100ppm

They stink, they're swollen, and they're falling down drunk.

Door open...

The ladies really opened up once they had enough room to flop

I had to chain them together, and even then, they all leaned one way like this

And this, is what they will look like going into 48hrs of darkness.

When the sun sets on the second day, I shall re-enter the tomb where my ladies lay.

Peave Love Unity & Respect, to my brothers and sisters. I'll report back in a couple days.

One more thing, for those who were curious about density. I gave one cola from each plant a decent squeeze, and they're as dense as any colas I've seen or purchased, from ANY lighting source, including the sun.

Those LED panels are decently priced for that kind of quality and density. Wish i had the money to grab one or 2.

How much heat do they throw?

My TD-100X fan keeps the cab cool enough when ambient is <85. I have a window unit AC, so I only used it when temps in the cab were >84F. The rate of growth seemed healthier at 79-82F, so I let it be happy. I don't have a comparison directly, but the case itself is only 7-10F above ambient temps. My heat issues were when my extraction fan/s were too small.

Not to be a brand whore, but that S&P fan is the shit. It might not be "silent" but for <$100, it was a great purchase.

... Lights out in 2hrs.

Alrighty, both ladies are hung up now. The aroma hits you like walking out of the AC on a 90F day, when you walk in the room.

I tried to take some decent pics, even of the rootmass.

For those who don't believe in side lighting, look at the color difference between the first 6" of those branches and the last 6". Side lighting would have "finished" those a lot better. We'll call that the first thing I'd do differently, but I wanted to run the SGS solo, and then modify plans. I'm still not guessing weight, I need to borrow a measuring device ... I'll get back later with that info.

Pics...

I'll write a "review" once I can comment on the quality.

That rootmass took a reasonable amount of effort to rip apart. AirPots definitely get my two thumbs up for approval.

Remember when you were worried about them getting too close, obviously they didn't mind at all. Awesome bro. Can't wait for the final report.

DJw nice documentation on the AP roots

As you know I love them. I think they bridge a huge void to easier to care for hydro

Fantastic PHAT Nuggz

RH has been a steady 60-63% in the cab

.. I just want to burn some. The bag I've been working on is/was dank, but such a strong sativa that it made me worthless. This should be more productive, and very little amber trichs compared to the current dark hairy super amber trichy shit I have now.

I have to keep the air exchange fan running through the filter or the stench is too loud for my own good.

I did find the branch that I'm pretty sure had the beans in it, I'll look closer once it dries out.

For those that have been following me; anybody use a "loose leaf vaporizoer"? Like an E-cig, but you can use green instead of wax/oils. I will buy one soon, looking for suggestions. Needs to be portable, and non-butane. I was looking at The Green Machine and Dube, vaporizers.

For those that are awaiting numbers, I have some info that you've been waiting on.

Wet weights, weighed as you see, branches only, none of the riff raff.
Big girl: 38, 41, 39, 45, 39, 39, 28, & 36g = 305g
Shorty: 23, 25, 29, 18, 29, 20, 17, 30, & 26 = 217g
Total: 522g

Loss factors:
70% = 1 = 5.6
60% = 1.35 = 7.46
50% = 1.68 = 9.3
weight loss = grams per watt = "Zips"

I'm expecting 65% "loss" from drying/curing, and I didn't add the BS which looks to me like 7-10g(dry). There's still a lot of branch to remove.

... I'm smiling, in case you can't tell. :D
