DJ's LED medical grow

I ordered a PAX too, it's double what I wanted to spend, but I'll ante up. When two people I respect recommend it, and every other review is good, I have a hard time looking elsewhere. If I'm lucky I'll get it by the weekend, doubt it.. more like Monday.
I have a plug-in vape (Da Buddha), but I don't think I've even used it this year. I would like to be a bit more discrete than the obvious other options.

Edit: According to Instagram, Childish Gambino(Donald Glover) has one too.

My advice, clean it as instructed. It will work great as long as you perform the maintenance.

I feel like their "too dry", but the stems tell a conflicting story

The bit I jarred "early" doesn't have a real strong smell (yet?), but it is supposed to be a "low aroma/odor" strain.

sampled a day or so ago, wasn't ready but felt nice and "heady".

I never jar till the stem in the main cola snaps or at least cracks firm. When jarred early it kills the smell but it can come back over time. But they're never as good or strong as when let fully dry then cured. Once you put it n the jar the moister evens out and what seemed dry is usually perfect.

^^^ agree 100% with tags420. Drying and curing is so important. Amazing how the bud changes in the jars over weeks and months.

Pulled some ak47 from a 6 month harvest and vaped it last night.

It's almost like I can chew the flavors on the exhale, it's that good.

The fluffy stuff underneath was/is ready. I was a bit over on my guess, should be 7g, a couple need extra time.

The stuff that's in a jar right now gets opened up, rolled around, etc, and left open for 8-12hrs at a time. Then sealed for 8-12hrs. It's dry enough to burn, time for another sample.

They do look better now than they did at first trim.

My PAX was supposed to be here Friday. USPS changed the status to "delivered", but I don't have it. Of course, this happens on a holiday weekend, we'll see what comes of this Tues/Weds. I'm beyond annoyed about it, but there's nothing I can do at this time. I sent an email to Ploom about it, I ordered it straight from their website so I wouldn't have to deal with this type of BS.

Let us know what the word is on the pax vape. I'm in need of a good personal vaporizer and this one looks nice.

That sux. Would have been a great weekend to test it out.

Did Ploom ask for a signature on delivery? Maybe the neighbor signed for it? Depending on shipper you can check for the name online.

In jars, smelling pretty, and the top 6-8" is as dense as what I've been smoking from HID's.

"Zips": 5.2 (I burned some)

I'd say that's a success.
102 days from sprouts up, to light off. 35 days of veg. Tallest point from medium to tip, 21".

The "big girl" definitely netted more weight ... trim your hedges ladies and gents.

I wasn't paying enough attention, but has anybody else completed a single SGS-160 grow? Seems like everybody else had supplemental, or secondary lighting.

I am interested as well.. So tempted but would love to see some of these grows with with SGS-160 go all the way through harvest and a smoke report

I haven't kept up with your ladies Dawg, sorry. I knew you had 1xSGS per lady, but two of each in the same room. It seems like everybody else either has 2+SGS's, or some other light source in the room. I lack experience, floorspace and headroom to pull that off, but was curious if somebody has seen another finished 1xSGS grow. Mad props, and hats off to Dawg, you're in inspiration not competition.

I have been burning all the larfy lower stuff.
It's labor day though, so I'm going to pull a top nug and give that a try.

I haven't busted out the dry ice hash in awhile... state dropped some BS about concentrates... I'm not supposed to make butter any more, sad fuckin day...sad day indeed.

Here's what I was trying to post last night (my internet went down while loading pics)

I pulled a top nug, cut it up with a fresh razor, and vaped(Da Buddha vaporizor)

It's not the best stuff I've ever had, but definitely some quality. If you're a flavor or aroma connoisseur, then this probably isn't the WW of choice. Looking back, I could have pushed another dunk/flush in before the 2days of darkness. Ashes are more black than grey, but doesn't burn the throat. There was enough nutrient value/volume stored in the coco for one more day/one more flush.

I got to the cautious feeling on standing up, then looked at the material left in the vape wand... barely pulled the green off of it, I was vaping at the lowest temp I could. I was definitely feeling the THC, but more so was the desire to sleep because my whole body relaxed.

Over the last year/s, I've had a regular rotation of Viking, ChemDawg and Chernobyl. I don't know breeders, but I do know the grower does a cloning system, so lineage is continual. Those are my comparisons, and it's been long enough since I've visited a dispensary that it would be hard to compare to. Density, is on par with those three (flowered under 1K's). "Stank" - the lingering, "OMG is smells like dank in here", is not even close. I like that though, I care how it effects me, not how far away others can smell it. Bag Appeal - was never the goal, but looking at them now, they are pretty. I've never claimed to be the best trimmer, but trimming this strain was REALLY easy. I would say that 80% or more of the "trimming" was done by hand. All the fans popped off clean, most of the sugar leaves in the buds pulled out/off from the stalks with ease, or were easy to remove once they had a couple days of hanging.

DJ's 10 tips, recommendations and promos.
1- I would recommend this strain to new growers
2- MAINLINE (especially if you have height restrictions)
3- tidy up your lowers = bigger colas
4- Superoots AirPots are cool, those roots were impressive.
5- 1GPW is achievable with LED's (don't be a hater)
6- similar density to HID's is achievable with LED's
7- Bottom feeding/flooding allowed a LOT more nutrients to be absorbed into the medium
8- Don't panic, ever. Develop a system, and be scientific. Record your thoughts, challenges, changes, and measurements(PPM, pH, RH, ambient temps, medium temps, water temps, etc).
9- Read, reread, and then check other sources. Be leery of any chemical used, anything that requires safety protection, I wouldn't put on my plants.
10- Area51 LED, Thank you. You made what I wanted (white + red, switchable) 5w LED, and it performed beautifully. I would, will, and do, recommend this product to any of my acquaintances.

anyways, pics are loaded now. I will bust out the glassware tonight and burn it right. I have been vaping a top nug, and it's definitely more potent and longer lasting than the larfy BS. The top bud I started with was just shy of 7g and was ~4.5" long.

I use a FrogTape container as a break-up tray pretty often, in case any of you are wondering what that is.

I want to throw out some possibilities and some suggestions.

Have you asked your neighbors? Could it have been accidentally left on another door step?
Give it a few more days because it may turn up but in the meantime open a case with the USPS, let me know the case ID.
Find out what day and time the post office has recorded for delivery, I've seen it differ from the online tracking link, that might change whether your roommate was there or not.

Ask your mailman if they remember delivering it, this can also help a package "magically" re appear.

Let me know what you find as well as the case ID from USPS. I hope this little guy pops up!

I guess I need to file a legit complaint, and they don't want to do the leg work. I doubt they realize how this will play out if I don't get my PAX. Name slandering? I think so ... my voice is beyond local.
