nice man. ill go ahead and order one of these also. im gonna try and replicate the box on the link i posted before. the dudes handiwork is pretty good but its like $700 a box.

im trying to figure out now if I can make something like a cooltube for the CFLs but that will take away the ability to position them as easily. But like ive said, it already hitting 95F in texas. so every little bit helps.

oh and I like the cardboard grow boxes. If I didnt have room mates I would probably just do that. Theyre moving out in a month though so we'll see whats up. Concord Dawn's using cardboard grow boxes and his look great imo.

i found this website with a bunch of different types of fans on it. http://skycraftsurplus.com/fans.aspx if any of those stick out then ill get one. I see alot of people use squirrel fans but i dont know if those can be stacked. but still looking at this one http://www.centrix-intl.com/details.asp?productid=729 . wish i had a decibel meter. no idea how loud 48db is and if it would blow my stealth.

Im also looking on craigslist every day. Ever so often people will post their grow equipment for sale on there.

I think the rpm is the only # to pay attention to, the cfm # on rotary fans is meaningless

little worried because on my topped plant, I cant really tell any development over the last few weeks. Im sure shes getting bigger, but I just cant see it. shes still green and getting just as much water and light as the other. ill try to get some good pics of her soon. but there just isnt much to see. not sugar on her really, and hardly any smell on either one. Hopefully they still smoke well because ill be pretty disappointed if they taste like im smoking hay.

When you have high temps growth is never gonna be vigorous, uptake is fukd up and at a certain temp plants shut down, a good plant that thrives in high temps is what u need, Satori is one and I will grow it sometime, it is sativa, but if you lst and veg for only a week or so, you would get good yield in a cab...

I added another fan to blow directly on the lights away from the plants. hopefully this helps.

what do you guys use to test ph? I bought the little pool ph kit but it doesnt seem very accurate. I was thinking about buying the ph test strips off ebay. its like $3 for 200.

I use test strips they work good on a budget.

i use this in soil and a fish tank kit for checking the nutes/water. i had the wet kit, but the meter is from home depot for like 8 bucks. it reads the same as the test kit.

so here we have the topped and untopped plant. i named em so you can see that the topped plant has like 1/3 the buds as the untopped one. any ideas? I started doing a foliar spray about an hour before the lights come on with cold water. hopefully to help with the calmag and maybe to add some color to the buds.

i thought about buying the third fox farms, big bloom but read its too late to start that. I may just not get alot of bud from that plant. Im hoping to get atleast 30grams. that may be a little ridiculous though.

yeah they dont look too bad. im just a little disappointed with the size but this first grow was pretty rough.
im not too put off though. i have enough equipment and product to go another 5 or more grows.

thanks for the props. im mostly just screwing around with the beats right now. im looking for more samples at the moment.

as long as there is proper air circulation i read it was cool. otherwise fungus.

I have not foliar fed at all, but thinking it may be a good tweak next cycle, and check out this guys grow, here, he foliar feeds alot in flower and pulls mad weight along with his celotape lst...

folage feeding is great!! only at vegging though, you dont wanna folage feed at budding because of mold forming on your buds and can literally ruin a crop overnight...but it is recomended that you mist the leaves

thanks for the tip. ill be more careful. but I only use a teaspoon of agave per 20oz spray bottle and no nutes. then every other time I do it, which is like once a week, I use just regular water. the temp at the canopy is around 85 and i have a fan blowing from underneath and across the canopy so I think it should be alright?

thats an awesome looking plant he has. i havent read through it to see what he was spraying on them. but i did read he had a little bud rot so he was probably going at it too hard. i cut back on my nutes though. I guess I started them too late and no matter how low I go I see some more burning. I think next time Im going all organic. but I already got this fox farm shit so maybe just try an organic or soilless grow medium.

Closed some of the vents in the apartment and the AC in my room started working better. Got the room down to 65 before my gf asked wtf I was doing... so hopefully heat is less of a problem from now on. plants are getting a little yellow on the older leaves, so im gonna do a little grow big in the next water just to give it a boost of N. I really dont want to have to go buy some CalMag. Im all tapped out at the moment. Ive been reading about yellowing leaves and matching my plants up to pictures and the diagnosis is all over the place. I understand that the buds are using up more of the nutes but at the rate my leaves are yellowing I wont have any left on the untopped plant come harvest. So a little dose of GrowBig, reg Tiger Bloom and a tablespoon of Agave to help the microorganisms.

pics tonight as I am seeing a lot more crystal development. hopefully I can steady the camera well enough to get good pictures.

oh and Im looking online right now for a nightstand thats around 30in tall. Id like to give a go at a smaller grow box. if any of you guys know where to get one thats cheap let me know.

i built this veg cabinet for only $14, lights, box, splitters, everything. threw in a couple extra 80mm fans i had for exhaust with a passive intake.

sounds like ya gettin sorted m8! yellow is normaly a nitrogen def, but it can be expected late flower in some strains.

I'm in uk and I get free stuff here m8, it is world wide dont know how good in your part of the world though.

He is in the UK and they have humidity probs no matter what, you are in TX, you should not worry about mold
if you have your air exchanging at a good rate

I used to live in west texas, which is a desert, and the humidity level is like 10% on average. but now im in east texas, which is like a different country. humidity today is 70%. but its been raining the last few days. I think average is something like 40-50. its crazy the variation without even getting out of texas.
