Did a dab, then...

OK, I did my first dab two days ago. It was only a fairly small hit but within about an hour I was puking my guts out and puked for about 3 hours. I was blazed for well over 12 hours. The bad part is that I didn't even enjoy it. The typical good feelings that I enjoy from smoking weed, the heightened sense of smell, taste and touch were not there, just blaaaaaaaaaaahhhh, numbness and brain deadness. He told me that it was activated THC. Call me a lightweight but is this typical of other's experience?

It was like snorting a tube of Ora-Gel. It also tasted REALLY nasty! It was pretty nice til I started puking.

That reaction makes me think it wasn't purged enough but I have seen people react poorly to dabs. Never that poorly though...

Sounds like heroin to me! Maybe you dabbed some tar! I got some bad possibly great H once that made me do that, every few minutes I was puking for hours!

I'm in AK making doing my best to make some good BHO. Never heard of anyone else trying to make a good clean product. Man it would be easier if I knew someone else blasting up here, if for nothing else to bounce idea's off of and confirm knowledge that I do have. All my friends are popping the BHO cherry for the first time with me, and I'm pretty sure as much as I like my stuff it's probably shit compared to others. I'm going to start talking to my people and see if I can find out the Gwoodian through friends. If I could get it down I'm sure my growing circle will provide material.

I've had people get the same reaction from a one hitter of my nug. Its not uncommon for someone with a lower tolerance to react that way.

Idk sounds sketchy to me. Usually after nug its like a one time maybe two time puke and your good to go. But being blazed for over 12 hours from one dab? Sounds like more than weed to me cause ive occasionally got that feeling after a nice wnb with too much kief. You dont want to open your eyes and all you want to do is lay down and your body is on fire lol! Its the same everytime for me, but who knows maybe it just reacts different for different people which wouldnt surpirse me, cause the high does already to a certian extent. but Dont give up on the dabs tho OP. Maybe try a smaller hit next time or some bho from somebody else and tell us how it goes.

Thanks for the input guys!! I've puked several times from hitting too much hash and even a bag of weed I got once but I'm sure that was contaminated with something. Yeah, even opening my eyes required super human effort. The guy offered me a cup of hot tea but I couldn't even lift my arms to take it. Honestly I'm very much of a sativa kinda guy; couchlock is not my thing - just my personal preference. Being a very creative person (artist & musician), I enjoy the extra dimension of creativity that sativa gives me. I hate puking more than almost anything; I had rather have a tooth pulled or a catheter inserted than puke. Back in the 70's I could smoke ANYBODY into a coma; I did it many times with all my friends. Today, I know my tolerance is not anywhere near that high, and I'm happy for that cause it doesn't take much weed for me. The guy used Isopropyl instead of Butane to extract the resins. He seemed to really know what he was doing; he used a digital thermometer (like a little gun) to monitor the temp in the crock pot, and kept a close eye on it til it got to the perfect consistency. I don't know what precipitates out when Isopropyl evaporates but I suspect it's not healthy. Is the really nasty taste typical?
