I think Trump fucked himself and the GOP in general with his latest round of totally insane tweets
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi urged support for an upcoming resolution that would condemn tweets by President Trump in which he said that a group of minority, liberal congresswomen should “go back” to their home countries.
In a letter to Democratic colleagues, Pelosi said that Trump had gone “beyond his own low standards using disgraceful language about Members of Congress” and that Democrats would “forcefully respond to these disgusting acts.”
Her announcement of the resolution came as Trump doubled down on his criticism of the female lawmakers, accusing them of “racist hatred” and suggesting they apologize to the United States, Israel and to himself personally .
Appearing at a White House event yesterday, Trump said he considered his tweets “not at all” racist in response to a reporter’s question.
“When will the Radical Left Congresswomen apologize to our Country, the people of Israel and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said,” Trump stated,
“So many people are angry at them & their horrible & disgusting actions!”
“I can tell you that they have made Israel feel abandoned by the U.S.” (really?)
He then continued his ranting by saying
“If Democrats want to unite around the foul language & racist hatred spewed from the mouths and actions of these very unpopular & unrepresentative Congresswomen, it will be interesting to see how it plays out"
By Sunday evening, at least 90 House Democrats, plus Rep. Justin Amash (I-Mich.), had denounced Trump’s remarks, with more than half of them using the words “racist” or “racism” to describe his tweets.
But the only Republican member of Congress that had the balls to speak out against Trump on Sunday was Rep. Chip Roy (R-Tex.), who wrote on Twitter that “POTUS was wrong to say any American citizen, whether in Congress or not, has any ‘home’ besides the U.S.”
But few other Republicans were willing to be critical of Trump’s tweets when asked about them today.
One of the few who had integrity was Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.), speaking on the syndicated radio program “Michigan’s Big Show,” called Trump’s tweets “really uncalled for” and “very disappointing.”
“We don’t respond to everything that’s out there,” he said when asked about the relative silence from GOP lawmakers. “But I would imagine, I would know, that a good number of my Republican colleagues don’t appreciate the comments as well (then say it). And actually if you look at the facts . . . three of the four were born in this country, so it makes no sense.”
But I think the best Republican response was when that closet gay (He really should come out) Graham used as an excuse for Trump's tweets, he called the Squad's ideas “anti-Semitic” and “socialist” and said their agenda is “disgusting.”
“We all know that AOC and this crowd are a bunch of communists,” Graham said, referring to Ocasio-Cortez
“They hate Israel" (getting old).
They hate our own country.” (whose country?)
A former Republican who left the party in disgust, Ohio governor John Kasich, a frequent Trump critic, called the president’s comments
“Deplorable and beneath the dignity of the office, and we all, even including Republicans, need to speak out against these kinds of comments that do nothing more than divide us and create deep animosity — maybe even hatred,” he said.
Hah, Ha Ha!!!!
This "hatred" is like nothing I've ever seen before in America (maybe RIU?), and I've seen a lot of shit, and there ain't no "maybe" about it, people hate each other.
Now, over Trump and his inbred, racist minions we again have riots on the streets of America and people dying.
People from all segments of society are attacking and killing each other over clothing, language spoken or where they were born or their skin color.
Ah, shit, what to do?
Absolutely nothing, until that motherfucker leaves office or hopefully drops fucking dead, and then try to clean up the mess that he has left this nation and the planet in
