Democrats/Liberals can be just as racist...

sometimes stereotypes exist for a reason...cliches become cliched because they're true.
typically, historically, democrats raise social awareness, education rates, quality of life...and unemployment rates, taxes, and inflation. republicans lower taxes, inflation, and unemployment rates, and stifle the arts, education, social responsibility, social awareness...
there's got to be a balance somewhere between the two,
The reason stereotypes exist is never to lay out the truth in a nuanced matter, a prerequisite to make good decisions including what to spend money on. The whole point of a stereotype is to over generalize/ oversimplify, often to a point it is not longer accurate but “merely” a stereotype. The problem with stereotypes is that they typically don’t adapt to the fast changing world. Conservatives are not conservative anymore when it comes to spending. And that’s not just Trump.

Searching for the middle of road and coming up with pragmatic solutions is best done based on facts rather than stereotypes. A given fact is money really isn’t an issue, it’s a matter of solidarity and political will.

What’s your current position on eugenics? You were for it last year when you were a self confessed political noob

I think we’re largely in agreement. Trump made it very tough to argue for ANY republican they aren’t racist. After the election already, and only more so by now.

I do think there are people who voted for Trump to vote above all against Hillary/dems and the established order, and voted for him despite his comments, even not agreeing with him or simply not caring enough. That last part is arguably racism, not caring about how poc are treated, but I do know the type (in the US) and they don’t all match the “racist” stereotype. Some are just ignorant, uninformed even, yet decent folk when it comes to social interaction with anyone. Obviously not talking about magats.
We will have a test of your theory in 2020. My bet is the same people vote for Trump once again.

I'd like to think that you are right and the problem* was Hillary or the Democratic Party's loss of voters, not attraction towards Trump's racist and misogynist rhetoric. But studies say that Trump voters were attracted to his and his party's racism and misogyny. If you ask a Trump voter if they are racist, they will say no. If you ask a Trump voter if black people experience hardship because of their skin color, more than 80% say no. Black people, the people who would know through actual experience, say "yes" (or hell yes) by much more than 80%. Among white Hillary-voting Democrats, only 20% would answer "no" to the same question. There are other questions used to test for racist leanings and they all pretty much come out the same way. One may reject the use of polls but if one is convinced that a good polling process can give reliable answers then then the answer is, Trumpers lean towards racism if not downright fall over.

So, are ALL Trump voters racist? Enough are to make the difference between the real number and 100% insignificant.

*President Trump = "the problem"

The main problem non-racist (non-cultist) republicans/conservatives have now is that they no longer have a non-racist (but competent, honorable, conservative) party to vote for. It may very well be the end of the GOP. As a more classic liberal, I truly feel sorry for some of them that Trump is killing American conservatism.
it's used more as a conscience choice for most on the right or republicans to pander to a particular constituency to remain in office, king and meadows and especially trump are prime examples of elected officials whom philosophically harbor racists(as in white supremacy) and or bigoted principals(hatred of non-whites) and use it very well to exploit the primitive fear and ignorance of the "other" along with using the eventual demographic shift as a fear tactic to keep their bases intact to keep themselves in power, mainly for their own financial benefits....i believe the others are just being opportunist...i hope...
i may be oversimplifying the subject, but control & power, exploitation = $$$$$$$
