Dark purple stems on new plants.

Is that full purple stem in the pic here due to the stress from the torture? or something else?
It gets tap water with a little calmag, a foliar spray of epsom now and then what I see the lines, and a silica supplement.
They were cut off of the mother plant jan 29th or 30th and have had no other nutrient yet.
That is their torture, I guess i was being a bit dramatic lol.

If that is the case, you had better buckle up.

A vast majority of plant "problems" in this section are a direct result, of kneejerk reactions to perceived problems.

Nothing good happens fast in the growroom.
WATER LIGHTLY and administer some bob james, steely dan, boney james, marion meadows and whole lot of get the fuck out the way while i do my thing......lol

Water lightly, very young plant it should be purple the green pigment has not begun to set in. it will as she grows older. but WATER LIGHTLY, because she is so young. the roots will not take a lot of water. Go deeper than 1 inch moisture test. you really want the roots to chase the moisture. That way they will grow faster

I use a 600w mh for a few weeks and to a hps once I flip but usually start my seedlings out under t5’s But have started before with great success under my 600w mh
im growing 6 autos, I’m honestly not bothering with other lights it’ll be start to finish under this HPS light.

what got you better results in the end? Starting them under a t5 or just straight mh?

Hey, I'm just starting my own seedlings and they are looking just like yours did. How did things turn out?
Hi all, day 2 of my grow, plants have come out nicely, the leaves look healthy green but the stems look dark purple; pics below.

HELP LOL AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG?!

im using plant magic soil, under a 600W HPS in a fully temperature and climate controlled tent, running temps at 28-29C, plenty of good air flow. Seeds are Girl Scout Cookies. Only had water so far, and this has been tested at a PH of 7.3 (you can view my grow journal on the grow journal section).

any input welcome. Concerned this is an issue. Possible stress, PH issue? I can’t see why they’d be stressed I’ve been played them Ed Sheeran on repeat and giving them lots of love. They’ve not been transplanted, the seeds germinated and were placed immediately into soil, under 20-4 light on/off. PH issue, potentially? I’ve tested all the tap water, and it’s not been too cold, it’s been at room temperature so not to shock the roots with cold water.
Hey, I've run into the same issue with my seedlings as you here. Slow growth and purple stems. Did you end up changing much? Was it the ph? How they looking now? Cheers

They turned out absolutely fine. They had a period of slow growth, and I put that down to the plant developing the roots rather than focusing on leaf growth. After a few days the plants continued to grow normally, and have continued to do so. I didn’t alter the PH I kept it at 7 then when I started feeding, I lowered the PH for all feeds to 6-6.5PH and they’ve thrived. This is them now. This was taken yesterday on day 20. If you want more detailed info honestly go to the grow journals section and check out my grow journal - it’s got hundreds of more detailed pics plus detailed information on feeds, water etc

I’ve had many stressful moments, watch out if your plant gets big quickly, because the stalks couldn’t hold their weight initially and I had to support them. They now have thick stems and branching so now it’s not an issue, but for a while it was top heavy, woke up to the plant on its side.
