7103, member: 129132"]Wow very high intensity setup, nice work @Zheol ,much more light than a 1000W DE HPS in this canopy

@ttystikk

At full blast 1.4A
CXB3070 3K AD @ 1.4A = 49.8W @ 48% efficient = 23.9 PAR W
23.9 X 16 COBs = 382.5 PAR W
382.5 -10% losses to lens/reflector/scatter = 344.25 PAR W
344.25/16 ft² = 21.5 PAR W/ft²
21.5 X 4.66 umol/s/PAR W X 10.7 = 1072 PPFD.

Dimmed to .7A
CXB3070 3K AD @ .7A = 23.6W @ 55.4% efficient = 13.07 PAR W
13.07 X 16 COBs = 209.2 PAR W
209.2 -10% losses to lens/reflector/scatter = 188.3 PAR W
188.3/16 ft² = 11.77 PAR W/ft²
11.77 X 4.66 umol/s/PAR W X 10.7 = 587 PPFD.[/QUOTE]
Hey Master Supra! How efficient are the cxb 3590 @700mA? I know they are about 51% @1400mA! Is it 58%?¿
What is 100%, the sun?
Do you think it is possible to have more than 94% efficiency for a driver, is there 100% efficient driver
Better have one to know than hundred who looking for...
Thanks again★

so when I add 730nm you guys think I should put them on my main heat sinks or just use some alum square tubing and place bars in between my main heat sinks

I considered passive for some 740nm but at least for the LED Engin "4-in-1" stars it made sense to active cool. Here is my combo bar for deep and far red (that I haven't built yet, the 25W driver juices the three 740nm stars):

Using Blumats in supersoil is probably the best way. I ran chem nutes in my reservoir (feeding coco) but finally gave up due to mold issues in the tank and lines. I've just transitioned to hempy buckets but almost went with soil and a plain water Blumat system.

What is a hempy bucket?
Lucky guys, you can use supersoil, I did like to find all the different things who is in the "recipe" in U.E or maybe a European user known where to find something close to!? It will be very nice
Have a great day★

I'm already an fcf member...
What mean "bs"?
I don't understand, is it a problem for you that I ask questions! ?
If I'm on RIU there's a good reason, because you can hear the truth on many things. It is not the case on many other sites, well yes you can say their truth, or be ban...!
So I fell very good here, had very good advices, from friendly and smart peoples. I really want to build a good and safe cob pannel, so I take my time to be sure that i did understand every technical words and expression.
Have a great day★

IMG_0654.JPG I didn't want to go further off topic in your thread, Zheol. A hempy bucket uses the bottom two inches as a reservoir for passive hydration of the medium. A hole is drilled two inches from the bottom of a two gallon plastic bucket (from the paint department). Expanded clay balls (Hydroton) fill the bottom layer and prevent my 75% coco / 25% perlite medium from packing down or falling out the 3/8 inch hole.

I looked but I don't see a good basic thread for hempy buckets on this site. The original design used vermiculite medium with chunky perlite as the bottom layer. The bucket is top watered by hand every other day (or whatever) until you get a trickle out the hole, indicating a full "reservoir".
