A pic from yesterday...
_20221018_003404.JPG
It's looking like they're at the end of the stretch phase now, but only just.

Yesterday i lowered the ec to 1.5ec, over the week the run off had increased to 1.3-1.4ec.
_20221018_211038.JPG
Cheese dipz, flipped 2 weeks before the others.

Eta... After lowering the ec from 1.8 to 1.5ec the run off is still 1.3/1.4 :?:
How can that be?

Things are going nicely and the plants are looking well.

I,m feeding 1.5ec now ph6.0, 4 feeds daily to run off, I'm fine tuning the amount atm but I'm aiming for 12/15% each feed, it's not far off now.

I moved my oscillating fan to a more convenient spot, 34c is hottest reading i can get from the light it doesn't need a fan hitting square in the middle.

I put a strip of neoprene down the back of the L bracket to help prevent vibration.

When you say L bracket is that a shelving bracket ? Brilliant idea ! I have been racking my brain on how to push a clip on fan out from a pole
You can also buy a wooden dowel at the hardware store and use a line to tie a loop around the pole to secure it to the existing tent pole. Then by letting out the line you can let the fan swing out over the tent. It's hard to describe but here's a pic. You can move it around the tent easily this way by just untying the knot and moving it to the other side. If you know the right knot you can just use a hitch and it's super easy to undo and move. I done a bit of rearranging for a better fit, i also removed and handful of leafs from around the canopy, anything that was encroaching on it neighbor.

On Thursday i lowered the ec down to 1.5ec from 1.8ec.
Yesterday i noticed two plants in particular were starting to look a little off, nothing major something only the keeper would see.

I tested the run off this morning and it's at 0.9 in the two plants in question.

This is one of them from yesterday, after posting the picture i went and had a another look, i could see it's a bit dull and lost a bit of the vibrant colour it had, anyhow they're telling me something isn't right?

Last night raised the ec back up to 1.8ec.

I forgot to note...
For the last 10/12 days I've been adding 25/30 ppm of mpk and background levels of silicon to raise the Ph.

I've taken a few steps to maintain a good humidity level, the local humidity is sky high it's a constant fight
_20221023_142507.JPG
I'd already taken as many leafs off as I'm comfortable with but in the circumstances i've removed another handful today from around the canopy trying to be as selective as possible.
Before...

After...

Also, warm air wafting over my pots absorbs moisture.
_20221016_191527.JPG
The draft from my fan hits the back wall and deflected back around to the dehumidifier, air going in also passes over them.
_20221023_183254.JPG
Every little helps, lids also encourage root growth under them, roots get considerably more abundant but this is the only example i have handy.

Nutrient ec, ph etc all the same.

Happy growing!

I've been waiting for a lightning controller and it arrived today, it's a neat piece of I'll be setting it up over the weekend.
_20221025_182106.JPG

The grow is now at that point where there's not much happening except basic maintenance.

Wk 5)
I've started lowering the ec it's currently 1.7ec (2 days) tomorrow when I mix a new tank it'll be 1.6ec.

I've been messing around with camera settings, a few pics...

The light is still at 80% I'll increase it gradually over the week and see how the plants respond.

I got the light controller installed today, after reading the instructions it was straightforward enough to do.
_20221029_192205.JPG
I'm not familiar with all it's functions yet I'll need a bit of time using it.

One feature i can use besides dimming i mean is the sunset and sunrise option, the slight drop in temperature is enough to switch on the dehumidifier and lower the fan speed so when the light goes off there's no period of humidity rising.
DSCF4028.JPG
So... I increased the light by 10% that's 630w I'll give it a few days and see how it goes before I increase it any more.

There's not been much else happening?
I only need to refill the tank every 4-5 days (refilled 1.6ec today) and empty the run off daily.

I'll post some better pics tomorrow.

Things are moving along nicely.
View attachment 5211386
I've been doing a little defoliating here and there on different plants depending on how they're growing, the shorter/slower ones I've left as is until they came on, the taller/faster ones i removed some key leafs.
Example...
View attachment 5211129
View attachment 5211130
With the exception of one plant they're all 18-21" tall, idk if I've steered the height or its just coincidental time will tell.

Yesterday i increased the power to 80% and also raised the light it's now 19-21" from the tops and reading 35-40,000 lux +/-

Some quick calculations suggests that at 100% power and at the suggested height it's going to be too much light without Co2?
View attachment 5211389
From the reading I've done around 900/1000 umols/ppfd is most efficient without Co2?

At last now i can maintain a better daytime temperature since boosting the power to 80% temps are around 25.5c/26.5c and 70/75% rh.

I measured the leaf surface temperatures today and they're between 20-23c

For feeding I'm still using1.8ec fed 2x a day until run off which measures 0.9ec, they look OK so I'll leave it at 1.8 for now.
That fan leaf is huge, talk about a solar panel!

There's not much to report everything is moving along smoothly...

Through the week I've increased the light intensity again it's now running at 90%/648w @8/14" over a 4x5 canopy.

The plants are all looking fine.
A few pics...

DSCF4007.JPG
Ec 1.5
Temp 26c at canopy.
Rh% 65/75% it depends on the local humidity, a bit of frost should lower it soon.

I've noticed they're not using a lot of volume each plant works out at around 1.1ltr a day in total +/-, I've cut back the feed frequency because of this to 3x a day to 15% run off.

Thanks for dropping by :weed:

Cringe worthy lol... Let me explain.
I wouldn't normally remove them it goes against my grain.

However i wasn't wanting that plant to out grow the others, i was aiming to keep things level and compact so removing they big panels seemed logical to slow down the growth, removing them also uncovered a number of shoots it was shading.

I done a couple of things different this crop so I can't say for sure what's responsible for the shorter plants, it's either keeping them in a small pot until part or the stretch is past or removing leafs, or maybe a bit of both lol, I'll know better next time.

Humidity as always is an issue, i removed a good couple of handful of leafs from around the canopy it's lowered the humidity to between 60/65% i can manage with that now.

The two cheese dipz are looking quite well on i don't think it'll be too long before they're chopped, the others clearly have a bit to go to varying degrees.

A few random pics...

Still on 1.5ec ph6.0 +/- 0.2 drift.

Thanks for stopping by bongsmilie
