I've been meaning to try grafting for ages, I'm looking to make a couple of tri pheno mothers, it always good to have more than one prize mother.

1 Bluchi

If you don't have a steady hand it's not easy to get the join together squarely, maybe i should've cut it longer but it would still be fiddly job to do.

Using self amalgamating tape you only need to pinch it like sticky tape and it forms a rubber seal over the joint.

I put a bag over it to raise humidity before I left it to do its thing.

Let's see what happens.

Take it easy folks!

Nice. You just made me think to myself..
“Why didn’t I just graft a clone into the trunk of the 5gal pot I just chopped?”
The stump is just there. If I were to water it right after chopping, the stump would fill with moisture. I did it to the 5gal bucket I chopped outside. As far as using the stump for this.. It’s been done before & I wouldn’t mind giving it a go.

Yeah, there's a ready made root ball ready to feed, it would great to see how it goes if you do try it.

Day #89 we're here at last!

Over the weekend i pulled off a load of leafs from plants to let light into wherever for the last few days.

The next time you see them they'll be harvested, i consider them ready now.

Okay, it's been drying for 14 days now, with it being cold it makes drying favorable...with the exception of the odd hiccup.

Lol

For the first 4-5 days i had the dehumidifier running between 58/62% +/- 1% 14-16c after that i could narrow the humidity range down to within 2% using a cycle timer.
So i adjusted humidity to 58/60% 12-14c then again over the last 4-5 days I've brought it down to 56/58% 12-13c

The mainstems don't snap but I can feel the fibers tearing/breaking when I bend them that's perfect imo, some of the thinner stems will snap off cleanly but the bud is still springy.

I've made a start to trimming the bud i like, I'm going to hold off with trimming the bud I'm not so keen on, i don't want to waste my time trimming if it's going in the hash/edibles pile.

That's me finished with trimming now, it's all been trimmed including the bud I wasn't so fond of.

I averaged 150g per hour using a point for shelling off leafs and extracting them from deeper in the bud with speed and precision.

This is the 1st time trimming has been remotely close to enjoyable, it wasn't bad at all.

Total weight after trimming
2.535lb/1.148kg

I just got caught up on your grow as I've been off the forum a little bit lately. They came out great man! I wish I had kept mine that healthy so I'd have a better looking product but the OG Kush is a new favorite as far as effects go. I'm betting you're going to love yours if you like indicas. I'm looking forward to the next chapter, what do you think you'll run next?

Busy! December- jan is super stressful glad it's over for a while lol...

How about yourself!

Wow you've kept a Bluchi mum and a Cheese dipz, high praise indeed!

The double dipz (runtz x runt) used from all city seeds is a frost monster and goes really really dark at the end, super pungent although I couldn't describe the terps if I tried lol... this looks like a great pheno!

This cross did have some germ issues, upon closer inspection some of the seeds, despite looking very good, were completely empty inside.... this has been a first..

Make more seeds indoors this time and if she has the same issues.....Shame if so i really enjoyed this one!

P.s

I posted your pic of Cheese Dipz on insta, I remember you were OK with the Bluchi but if not say the word and I'll take it down!

Hey buddy, I'm fine thanks, things have running like clockwork here, since harvesting on the 14th Dec, I've dried, trimmed and packed it, I've cleaned the tent, the feeders, pipes, pots, reservoir etc, ive recycled all the coco and I've another grow started :bigjoint:

I've got new found enthusiasm with my clutch of quality mums :bigjoint:

There's some similarities in #2 to bluchi in structure and that it's not too leafy, the lower canopy gets sufficient light through to make nice buds top to bottom, lots of pine cone sized buds.

#1 was a bit more compact

Only 20" after stretch but packed with bud.
